A few days ago I recieved this interesting looking Cherry keyboard from 1990 which I got on ebay. It uses plate mounted MX Black switches with diodes, and has unusual legends on many of the keys. The vertically stepped keys are the thin kind sometimes found on very old Cherry MX boards, which was surprising considering how new this keyboard is.
I was hoping it would use AT or XT protocol having a DIN plug, but out of caution I traced the +5V and ground connections from the main controller to the pins on the din connector anyway: It turned out to be matching for those 2 at least, so I first tried getting it to work directly over PS2, then soarer's converter, both sadly to no avail.

Unless you mean the condition of the board, this isn't really new at all. Honeywell Bull keyboards like this one are from (I believe) the late 80s.Noobmaen wrote: ↑surprising considering how new this keyboard is.

This board is from 1990, but I have only seen the thin doubleshot caps in boards from 1988 and earlier before.

The board has normal thick caps, only the wings of the winged caps are thin.

It is just the vertically stepped caps which are thin (0.5mm), all others including the horizontally stepped ones are thick (1.5mm):
