I don't think this variation has been documented, wiki/Marquardt_Two_Fingers_Typewriter_switch . Seems like a higher quality version of the documented 2 finger switch.

Wow, what a find! What date codes are there on the typewriter? If Mitsumi made the PCB, it should have a date label on it. Also, what codes are there on the PCB? I am hoping that there is something resembling known [wiki]Mitsumi model numbers[/wiki] that would give us the series name of the switches. If existing patterns are anything to go by, the model should begin KC_-.

Also, being a typewriter, you're also likely to have a double-action switch in there somewhere. Mechanical shift lock is also possible.

codemonkeymike: it's this series — [wiki]Mitsumi standard mechanical[/wiki]

Unfortunately i got rid of the typewriter, but i guess it was made sometimes in 85, since there is a 84 on the PCB and a sticker with 1985 on the display Part that i kept:

The switches are all the same, no special ones in this typewriter.
They feel a little wobbly, dirty and slightly tactile.

So close and yet so far … it seems that all Mitsumi supplied was the switches.
