Is it possible to use the cable from a model F XT keyboard in a model F AT keyboard or are the pinouts different?

No they're not compatible because of the pinout. You could probably make it work by swapping the Dupont connectors on the 2 cables and solder them back.

Does the AT cable use the same number of pins as the XT? So if I were to reconfigure the pins on the Dupont connector I can get it working?xueyao wrote: ↑No they're not compatible because of the pinout. Yes, they use the same number of pins. The ps2 connecter added 1 pin, but the XT and AT used the same Din5 plug. Just double check that you have all the wires going to the correct pins. Especially the +5v and Ground.xxhellfirexx wrote: ↑ Does the AT cable use the same number of pins as the XT? So if I were to reconfigure the pins on the Dupont connector I can get it working?
