Here's a Model M you don't see every day; it's the rubber dome version! Hope you enjoy :) .

Enjoyed indeed. Last month, I bought a (regular IBM-branded) unit for my kid (mostly because it was manufactured on his birthday), and now I know exactly what he is in for when he gets his hands on it. :-)

If I dare make a criticism of this video, I missed a side-by-side typing comparison of this unit against a buckling spring (and perhaps against a Model F as well).

That rubber dome model still manages to sound really cheap! It might be IBM but it's not a patch on the sound of a tactile Alps keyboard.

I dodged a bullet some time ago, avoiding an IBM branded rubber domes Model M (I tried and it felt nice, although the guy would have sell it to me for a price more suited to an actual M). It's good to see what it could have been. Keep it going man!

Wonder how these feel in comparison to the old trackpoint and Thinkpad boards Unicomp did. Those were stiffer domes as well, but I oddly enjoyed them as an interesting change of pace.
