This set really needs a 2.75u right shift. Many of the best ANSI WoB sets come from G81-7000 boards, which have the same layout as 1800. I think providing both short right shift (1.75u) and normal right shift (2.75u) would make the set much more useful for adapting OG sets. Also, I would like to see...

Matt3o refuses to rerun it for reasons best explained by Matt3o. I think it has to do with Not Enough Demand and the fact that never rerunning it makes existing sets Special (because they are so rare), a notion he likes. "We" can't rerun it because SP won't rerun it without Matt3o's consent. Howeve...

The only thing that makes GMK sets from the US more expensive should be shipping. The Americans don't pay German VAT on keycaps from GMK, so we Germans have to when they get send from the US. If bought directly from Germany from GMK, VAT is already included, so the price for the keycaps alone is th...

Caps are about to hit the fan :) Anyone who receives caps is OBLIGATED to post awesome pics of his caps to help fund phase2. We're all in this together! Haha, I guess that means I can't sell the only board I have left that will fit the caps I ordered. Since placing my order I moved from Poker-layou...

Super interesting! It's interesting to see some substantial info to back up the vintage blacks, they are smoother after all. That drop in smoothness is crazy  Have you done gateron blacks yet? I remember people hailing them as the best linears when they first came out and I'd be interested t...

Hmm. In terms of all the Cherry MX Black switches I've tried over the years. They tend to vary a bit, some smoother than others. To me what's sad, is that there's this wide deviation. I'm also not surprised by your comment that some later MX Blacks were quite smooth (could've been new tooling for a...

Here's something I've been thinking about but don't know the answer to. Does anyone know what material is used for the top housing on Nixies (and other milky switches). Testing milk gateron blacks against clear top gateron blacks here seems to be a slight different in sound quality to them. HaaTa, I...

Hi HaaTa, Excellent work as always. I have a couple quick questions. First, what has your experience with vintage MX blacks been? I ask because they are my favorite Cherry switch, but I've found a bit of a range in smoothness to them (though my approach is much less scientific than yours), including...

Hey, nice to see you there! You did great on those boards. :) What are those cases? Is the black one the FMJ that was sold by Originative some weeks ago? I took some photos yesterday of my keyboard family. Even though I'm an ANSI user I love using legends from different languages. Yup, BTW, I see this has already been discussed a bit at the start of the IC. But I would vote for uniform R3 this set as opposed to sculpted. In some ways uniform feels more retro to me, and can make a few things easier (alternate layout compatibility, for instance).zslane wrote: ↑Thanks, nafsasp!
