also regarding alps, you can mod them even if they are plate mounted, unlike the cherry. one fun board on the alps side is the Wang 724, keep an eye on them. I think I have seen at some Korean KB site that they have made box especially for keyboard to be shipped. Normally it is quite difficult to find box that fit keyboard, they are either too big or too small.

I finally got hold some thick wyse double shot caps, to be used on the wyse board which originally only got the later thin caps. actually the shinning ones grip fingers better than the original matte surface. i feel it applies to both the biege and black ones. the original matte feels a bit slippery. coarser one like those found on wyse feels the best. acsii and others: any pictures of the polished caps? Aren't they too shiny...

by the way sixty, do you know why cherry does not use metal plate to mount their PCB? their G81 series use metal plate, but such a waste, since people just throw them away, you amongst them. :mrgreen:
