Re: [WTB] NMB Space Invader Keycaps

I have a tactile invaders board with Norwegian ISO layout if that's something that you can use.

Re: Alps Appreciation

Acers are a fantastic platform for clicky Alps. I have recently finished a project long in the making with Amber Alps, SGI Granite caps and click-modded Orange Alps (click leaves from some type OA2 clone board and sliders from a NOS Dell Bigfoot, the housings were ultrasound cleaned). The feels and ...

Re: Nexus Cherry MX-compatible Alps sliders (+SA keycap typing test on SKCM blue!)

I've just tried a tactile mod similar to this one with a Salmon M0116 (pretty clean and seemingly moderately used, but not pristine) and EnjoyPBT caps. I liked the results, though just like with the above Blue Alps experiment, they lose a bit of that precise thock (but it's still there), and they am...

I got them from Electronic Surplus, but those were the last 2 they had in stock. The part number on the PCB was 12KC132A.

Matias parts work really well as Black Alps augments - you get both a clean keyfeel and nice tactility.

The switches are a slight upgrade on my Peacefoot project - I added folded paper to make the leaf springs completely immobile. The Matias ISO Enters turned out to be incompatible, sadly.

I have a SIIG Minitouch with modded Orange Alps - replaced the coil and leaf springs with Matias Quiet Click ones and as a result they're more or less as tactile as Amber Alps. I live in Norway, but since it's under 2kg it won't cost a small fortune to send.

Looks cool! I was wondering about the speciality kit - shouldn't there be two 1u Ctrl caps as well? I got the impression it's meant for boards like G80-1800. Either way, best of luck! I'll be looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Re: C.ITOH Alps Buckling Spring board (possible to convert)

I’ve got one of those recently myself, I was worried USB conversion won’t be easy :| I think I’ll try looking into replacing the controller, but if I manage to avoid it, I’ll let you know.

I forgot to mention the same modifier behavior on macOS, but on that system it doesn't matter which Alt is used for accented/special characters. I got my iMate from the US - maybe the firmware wasn't made with ISO support at all.

Re: Questions on Behavior of Griffin iMate ADB to USB Converter

When I used mine on Windows, all the modifier keys registered as the left ones, so I couldn’t do any AltGr combinations.
