Cherry G80-1851 refit with Kailh BOX switches
This is my second build. I used a TKC1800 pcb and plate with Kailh BOX pale blue switches (and a few cherry switches) in a Cherry G80-1851 case. For the bottom row I used a keycap set from Glorius PC Gaming Race because the original caps didn't fit. I also installed an Amphenol Mini USB jack on the ...

Re: Bucking Springs, worth it?
I am not saying that Unicomp makes bad keyboards, quite the contrary, but the build quality is different from IBM Model Ms. Even Lexmark Model Ms are different from IBM Model Ms and neither Lexmark nor Unicomp Model Ms are in fact bad keyboards.

Re: Bucking Springs, worth it?
I absolutely love my 1986 Model M. The typing feels great but it feels quite different from Cherry MX and clones. I wouldn't jump into buying one without trying it out first. Unicomp still builds Model Ms. They use the original machines to produce their modern version but the quality is not exactly ...

Re: Question about Mechanical Keyboard Lifetime.
I have a silver badge Model M. I used this keyboard for years as my daily driver and it still works perfect. That keyboard is almost 35 years old.

Pretty sure you have that backwards, definitely if it's running QMK and I expect so as well if it's TMK. +5V → LED → resistor → Teensy is how I have my QMK numpad wired - the target Teensy pin acts as a sink, not a source. LED and resistor can be in either order, whichever's easier to wire. Thanks!...

Wiring LEDs to an Teensy
Hi, I have built my own keyboard and all keys work, I am actually typing this post on it, but I can't get the LEDs to work. I have an AVR Arduino Board AT90USB1286 U Disk TE502, which I got from ebay, and bought blue LEDs. After some research I have bought 150 Ohm resistors. I am pretty sure that I ...

Matias keycaps on an Alps Bigfoot
Hi,
I want to rebuild an Dell AT102W with Matias switches and would love to use Matias blank keycaps on it. Do the keycaps and stabilizers fit on an Alps Bigfoot switch plate?
