Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
This is probably a really naive question, but I have gotten lost in keeping up with the progress reports here. Is there any way to know roughly when an order will be shipped? I cannot remember the last shipping update I received, and I want to make sure I know approximately when the keyboard will go...

Re: CM Novatouch MX stem repair
Excellent! The original sliders in the Novatouch are likely to be better than aftermarket options, so I think you did the right thing by keeping them in. Fortunately, you can mix and match them if you find you like the new one better. Besides, with a tenkeyless, there’s always a handful of lesser u...

Re: CM Novatouch MX stem repair
It feels hairy the very first time you try to pop one out, but once you get it, it’s the simplest thing. Much, much easier than desoldering a Cherry or Alps switch. You just need to unscrew a lot to get in there. I even got a keyboard newbie friend to join me to strip down two Topre boards at a din...

Re: [WTB] MX stem/adaptor/slider for topre
I found a bag of sliders I got a couple of years ago (and I thought I had sent to someone), so I am set and can close this WTB. Indeed, if anyone needs sliders I have a bunch!

Re: CM Novatouch MX stem repair
Thanks for the eBay link. That would be perfect, except I amazingly found a bag of Topre MX sliders while doing a deep clean of my house this weekend. I picked these up a couple of years ago - they are green, but I don't remember any of the details (purchased through a thread on geekhack). I think t...

Re: CM Novatouch MX stem repair
There are replacement Topre sliders available for people MX modding their HHKBs and Realforces. Those should be compatible with the NovaTouch. Other people know more about them than me, but I believe you can find them at Kbdfans. Since you only want 1, you probably don't want to buy a whole set! Ma...

[WTB] MX stem/adaptor/slider for topre
This is a follow up to a thread I started in the Workshop section regarding a broken stem on my CM Novatouch keyboard. The MX part of the key broke off in the keycap, so I need to repair that key. I only need one slider/stem to do the repair, so I am hoping someone has a set and I can send them a bi...

CM Novatouch MX stem repair
I stupidly packed my CM Novatouch in a suitcase (not the first time I have done that, but it's always been okay) and it emerged with the MX stem broken off from the top right key (labelled 'pause' on my other keyboard). I have no idea how it happened since it is a clean break and the keyboard works ...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Forgive me for a somewhat naive query, but I am having a really hard time keeping track of the various layout options. So I wonder if someone can clarify these issues (perhaps others are having similar issues)? 1. Are the five layouts (plus the sixth with just numbers on keys) for the right side blo...

I'm toying with going not ISO+HHKB, but full-on TIE, just as the original F62/77 keyboards were (plus the two extra 1U keys instead of the 2U backspace). It's supposed to be a compact keyboard, after all. :) That sounds like a nice option. I am going with UK ISO mostly to avoid confusion from const...

I wasn't aware that you can order it with a split left shift also. AFAIK, only the right shift can be split like the HHKB Split left shift is standard with the ISO layout so I think it should be no problem to also include that with an ANSI layout as constexpr did It is indeed, and that is nice sinc...

Seeing all these posts about layouts I went to look at my order. I see I had added the HHKB 6 Key Set when I purchased the Front Printed F1-F12. But I am actually not sure what comes in the HHKB 6. From the pictures of the F77, the cable is not removable, right? I will probably get a coiled cable too and I want to make sure I pick the right one. One of the reasons I would love to see some availability of these keyboards in the future is that I might decide I want a different case or layout, or one for my home office. I had a RF and I thought the build quality was great - it felt nice and solid to type on and had a good weight. But I didn't like the keycap profile (and I had one with dark print, which I could not get along with), so I ended up with a Novatouch. It is not as solid feeling as the Topre model, but i...

Case, bag, or sleeve recommendations for a TKL keyboard?
I am planning a couple of long trips and am thinking it might make sense to bring along an external keyboard. I am likely to grab one of my Novatouch TKL since they are compact and have a detachable keyboard. I don't want to end up banging the keyboard around, so I am seeing if anyone has a suggesti...
