Re: Tomy Tutor review (Tomy multi-key switches)
What a remarkable device! Given the focus on spaceships, planes and robots in its output and its incredibly advanced technology for the time period, I wonder if Tomy produced it for Japan's National Aerospace Laboratory.

Re: Focus FK 2000 Plus with Arabic Sublegends
Really great, such cool caps I wonder how many different layouts those Focus boards came in all-in-all, seems like there's such a large variety.

Re: Linear switch for autoimmune arthritis: light or heavy?
Hey there. I posted about this years ago! Here's the thread, for posterity: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7203&p=146554&hilit=arthritis#p146554 Thanks for the link! I did read through that thread before posting here, it was very informative for sure. The main reason I made this one is...

Re: Linear switch for autoimmune arthritis: light or heavy?
If you want avoid bottom out on linears, you might want to look into progressive or slow curve springs. They are both designed for typing without bottoming out, or at least to reduce harshness of bottom out. I don't know if the wooting supports spring swapping, or if you would want to do that, but ...

Re: Linear switch for autoimmune arthritis: light or heavy?
If you type rather lightly anyways then I'd suggest Gateron Clears with o-rings or Matias Linears. I personally think Matias Linears aren't very good with dampers, but that might be just what you need to provide additional cushion to your fingers. Thanks, I'm glad to hear I'm not totally off-the-ma...

Re: Linear switch for autoimmune arthritis: light or heavy?
I know these are not usually favored on a forum like this, but have you tried very short travel keys, like an Apple Magic Keyboard? It seem like it would require the least movement, due to the minimal key travel, and activation force is pretty light as well. I haven't tried their latest iteration o...

Re: Linear switch for autoimmune arthritis: light or heavy?
A more tedious but reliable option would be to linearize some white/cream damped alps (but these are bound to be heavier than 45g). I thought of that too, but I'm worried that the heavier weighting would wear my hands out fast. I do wonder how much lighter they would get with the click leaves remov...

Re: TS-1605 keyboard
If you look up '"tele-pc" terminal', it's pretty easy to figure out that it's for a TeleVideo terminal, and you can kind of just go from there. Looks like Polecat has direct experience with these though.

Linear switch for autoimmune arthritis: light or heavy?
Hi Deskthority folks! I've developed an autoimmune disorder that causes pain in my joints, tendons, and fingertips—my GP thinks psoriatic arthritis is likely but I'm waiting to see a specialist for a definitive diagnosis. In the meantime, typing has become a depressingly painful experience for me, p...

I like detailed reviews. Very good :) When you say you've travelled with the keyboard, what do you mean? I'm curious because I couldn't see myself travelling (I mean, going on an airplane with a keyboard in my bag) with anything bigger than a HHKB. Thanks! :D I mean that I've taken it with me on tr...

Topre Type Heaven
Hello! I've been lurking here for a long time but have barely ever posted, so hopefully I'm doing this right. :P I realized there was no review of the Topre Type Heaven, at least as far as I can tell, and since I've been using one as my daily driver for about two years I figured I would write one. I...

I could send you a spare switch to replace it, just pay shipping and its yours. PM me. Thanks so much for the offer! I think I'm going to try swapping in one of the switches already on the keyboard to save money, but if that goes awry somehow I'll get in touch with you. If it makes you feel any bet...

Oh hi Chryos! I've watched tons of your videos. :P Thanks for the info—I was wondering a little bit if they were clones since the switch housing says "B19". I could probably just swap in the switch from one of the keys I'm unlikely to ever use (like "Pause") so I don't have to track down a compatibl...

Contact leaf snapped in white Alps clone switch — broken?
Hello! I just got my first ever mechanical keyboard today, since the rubber dome board I've been using is starting to give out, but I'm off to a rather rocky start. :| The contact leaf in the switch for the spacebar seems to have snapped in two, and it appears to have killed the switch. It's a Focus...
