Noted down, thanks for the suggestion. My original idea was do an exact replica of the original one, but all ideas are welcome. I was thinging, even colors would be a funny option: black, industrial gray, brown, yellow... maybe even translucent. By the way... what type of plastic did IBM used? ABS+PC?

Just a stupid question... Did you try to swap the key-frames between keyboards? The fault should move together with the faulty component.

Never give up... I think Unicomp and/or ClickyKeyboard still have cables, keys, keycaps and membranes.

I recently got an IBM Model F. Feel and click is even better than the Model M! Now it's time to clean it carefully.... I thought that screws on the back should be 5.5mm as the model M but they aren't. It's sure not metric eigther, because the M6 hex-screwdriwer appears to be too little, while the M7...

Finally had the opportunity to test it... a masterpiece.
Info research, write phase, testing, debugging, documenting... really valuable work.

A IBM b.s. keyboards documentary should be really interesting, including a visit to actual Unicomp. I'm sure they will not refuse... after all it's advertising.
