I am actually taking your advice and just adding finds to the original comment, and I'm cutting back on the no. of posts, since I don't give a damn about having a large post count to boost my e-peen. Just a curious question, but how do the EnjoyPBT keycaps compare to these real Cherry ones? I haven't owned either of the sets, but you can get an imperfect comparison from the pics from original post, and maybe this one in particular: https://deskthority.net/resources/image/46741 and riotonthebay'...

So I've come up with some neat ideas for this project but I think they may take me a while to complete them which is fine. I want to make this more interactive like the original, not just a keyboard and desk. Also the desk has two holes on the top I think this could use some finishing touches. Here...

Wow that PT-2 is interesting. I wonder if that is a beam spring or if it is Microswitch. The cap profile and absence of stepped 1/shift etc. make me think it's Microswitch. I can't guess at which it is, but some 3277 beamsprings (for example) have non-stepped caps as well. From hansichen's thread h...

[...] Yes after four long years the project will be ending after the final round later this year. The molds will be likely discarded, not sold. Very likely I'm missing an obvious reason here, but if you could point it out, I'd appreciate it. Why go through all of this, produce two rounds, and then ...

IBM P70 from 1990+ with Thick PBT Keys?

Hey, DT!

Would be interested to know if anyone has had an IBM P70 from 90/01 or later with thick PBT keys. If such a thing has been seen, it would be extra helpful to know which month* it was produced.

Thank you!

Edit: Thank you, JP! and Engicoder for clarity on the date format.

Do all three of the switches show a similar graph? i.e. actuation point seems to be too far down. Possibly it's 2.5±0.5 mm, which would put this within tolerance, and the orange switch slightly out of tolerance. Also, blue and white differ in peak force by around 20 cN, which makes me wonder how mu...

Posted this earlier when the bidding was at $0.99. Can't believe people are willing to pay over $400 for an F AT. It's not even NIB or even in that great looking of condition.
