DEC LK201 Disassembly, Bolt Modding, Restoration and Conversion [In Progress]

It is not done yet, but I am starting the post already, so I don't lose the pictures and as a way to force myself to finish it. When it's done, the title will be changed and this "disclaimer" will be removed. To be honest, I am not entirely sure if it makes sense for everything to be in a single pos...

Re: New to Deskthority, need help

Then the PS/2 can be converted to USB with a converter. The PS/2 to USB adapter you have, may be just an adapter, instead of an active converter, hence the reason why it's not working. Just contributing to this with my (limited) experience. I have a couple of those same PS/2 to USB adapters, they a...

[WTB] [EU-BG] ErgoDox EZ

I am looking to buy the black hotswappable version of an ErgoDox EZ, along with its original cables and tenting kit.
It would be cool if it also comes with the wrist rests but I don't care either way.
Ideally, I'm looking to pay less than $200 for one.

Re: CH Products RollerMouse poor tracking

Sorry to hijack this thread but I am absolutely in-love with this trackball since seeing pictures of its construction and I'm curious: 1. If I am understanding correctly, the ball is supposed to touch and rotate the bearings, not the rods themselves, right? 2. What are the two black plastic wheels o...

This thread made me sad, because I realized I don't have a single board I'd get back to on purpose. Yes, I like them all (well, most of them) and I am perfectly fine and happy typing on most of them, but there isn't a single one that I particularly love or like enough to be my favorite. All I have a...

Re: How did you find your internet nickname?

I decided not to invent anything like that and just took my last name. In my opinion, it turned out fine. Maybe if it was some kind of role-playing forum, I would need to come up with a character and play his role, it would be different. I mean you have a really cool last name so that totally works...

Re: New to Deskthority, need help

Take whatever I say with a grain of salt and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but: According to the wiki, an AT keyboard (the 80206 setting on your switch) should work with a PS/2 host with just a passive adapter, which you already seem to have. Then the PS/2 can be converted to USB with a co...

Re: How did you find your internet nickname?

Around 2003 someone purposefully wrote a commonly used way to shorten my first name, with an F instead of a V and IFo was born. I've always disliked my "real name" and I instantly fell in-love with IFo so I started introducing myself like that to everyone. Then, around 2007 I started playing Second ...

We're likely going to remove it specifically because of this thread honestly. Have you tried soaping up the keycaps and scrubbing them with your fingers, letting them sit for a bit, then wash your hands, and rinse them with hot water while again scrubbing them with your fingers?

I need a single (black) clip (the plastic part as I don't know if clip is the right term) from a Costar based stabilizer.
I can just buy a single Costar based stabilizer from WASD Keyboards but I'd have to pay at least $15 for shipping I think.

Alright! I was able to test the firmware on two keyboards (a 102-key Model M and an M122). The firmware works like a charm. Awesome! Thanks for testing! Does it work functionally the same as Soarer's? The two keyboards I tested the firmware on behave exactly as they were running Soarer's firmware (...
