Re: [BATCH#1] Katalyzr 3DPrnted Converter X->USB O-Src [GLOBAL Ship]

Due to the small size restrictions of this design and the requirements of the post office to ship below the cost of a parcel, but instead as a letter, I've had to rule out the simplification of combining the two halves of the converter using just a set of screws as one would conventionally. So for t...

Re: Yet another beamspring refurb (5251)

Beamspring switches have the most play of any switches. You can rotate keytops like 5 degrees when they sit. You can press a 7U beamspring spacebar about 90% of its length with no stabilizer bar. How can one minimize this play in the switches? Are there any known modifications to the keyboard to ac...

Re: (Model MF) Remodeling the Model M (aka.. the Mara)

I think it's still possible to curve the plate at the same time as keeping the profiling on the caps, the curve after all is really quite passive and not at all aggressive like some cherry boards and even modern day ones. I'm putting my vote for a still curved mark 2 because the curved profile justi...

Re: Vintage keyboards; Model F XT [UK]; mouse

Would be interested in that XT IBM. I believe postage to Australia is somewhere on the bounds of 35 pound sterling using royal mail? Because it's cracked and I'm unsure of the method of restoration (pls elaborate if it's been powder coated, etc), I can offer 75 pound for it as labour in restoring th...

Re: IBM Model F AT rusty plate common?

Try this: buy a liter bottle of superglue from aliexpress and some cheap canned spray paint. Sand off all the old paint then cover it with a coat of whatever color, then after that use a silicone brush/spatula to spread superglue in thin coats across the surface. I've done it on a 3d printer's glass...

Ellipse how exactly are you pulling this all off? I've been to Shenzhen, that place is worse than a maze in a maze. How does one even find factories to make something so obscure as a model F, and for the right price for mass production? On the ground, I can't even find a single factory, let alone co...

WTB: Capacitive Buckling Spring Boards (missing keys/feet allowed)

Hi, I'm here asking for some model F's (XT's preferred) in whatever condition but they have to be around 100$ AUD each including shipping. :D If anyone has a mass of boards that they would like to offload or are not bothered to restore to original form I would gladly take them in. Beam springs are a...
