Re: IBM 3277 Conversion

Oof. That is tasty. Might have to get one for mine too, atm there's a pathetic, puny little USB cable coming out the back xD . Yeah you should buy one or two. The coil on these cables is supreme. Really springy and nicely returns to shape. It really is a quality cable. One downside to some might be...

Re: IBM 3277 Conversion

Just got this extra thick coiled cable from Santigo's round 1 group buy :D I've been waiting a year for the right cable to complement this board. The first cable I ordered from another vendor fell through so couldn't be happier with how this one turned out.

Re: Key Tronic Corp. Early '70s Keyboard

Thanks for your reply and feedback, JP. Yes, I've had multiple saved searches on eBay for several years now, and I frequent the VCFed forum, and we've discussed this terminal there several times. Nobody has much to say about it, which is really why I started the site about it, so there would be som...

Re: Key Tronic Corp. Early '70s Keyboard

Neat keyboard but I've never seen one before. I have seen a MicroSwitch with a similar color scheme once. Something like this will be almost impossible to find. You will want too keep tabs of terminals on eBay. Also other forums like vcfed might be a good resource.

IBM 178-key 3670 communications system keyboard

No I didn't buy a keyboard this time but instead got this 1971 annual report featuring an interesting keyboard on the cover for the 3670 communications system used by stock brokers. I thought it was neat to actually see a picture of one in color. More info here: pdf link 1.JPG 2.JPG OG IBM artisan k...

Seems like daily driver material for the tiproman
So the large matrix on the right is basically a large daughter-board with a ribbon cable connector so at the very least that part can be converted without having to worry about a controller or other electronics.

An interesting company, focusing on developing "Font Types". MORISAWA might have made used of that keyboard indeed - or is that Kanji-system namded MK-11- MORISAWA indeed? They made a number of photo typesetting systems such as the MK-110 as seen in the video clip. https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3...
