FIFTYBTNS prototype

Hi all! Once ago I have posted my 12x4 ortho KB. That was first and second attempts of making fully functional KB. Photos and a bit of description are in this comment https://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/please-help-me-finish-my-zenith-handwiring-project-t19436.html#p419073 and in next two on same pa...

According to this doc https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Components/Switches/MX%20Series.pdf square mounting hole should have side equal to 0.551in +/-0.002in, which (by google convertion) is 13.9954mm +/-0.0508mm. Also I have seen information (on some wiki, but can't find right away) about 0.05mm ...

Minus 0.15mm for mounting hole is waaaaaay to much. You won't be able to fit MX-compat switch into 13.85mm Else you will get switch at least deformed and not able to function properly, stem will stuck. I have faced this when I was trying to cut 14x14mm holes manually. Also I was ordering mounting pl...

Cheaps are from cheap flexible plastic, they adapts.
Old ones are just old-school-robustness, they suppress BOX stems, not visa-vesra.

Kailh BOX problem, my version

Hi! Looks like I have woke up from cryo-sleep. I have completely missed news about Kailh BOX switch problems. And this is real problem to me because in the beginning of january I have bought: - "Heavy Burnt Orange" (from KBDfans Store at aliexpress); - "Heavy Pale Blue" (from KBDfans Store at aliexp...

Thank you!

Almost forgot, it's hard to see on previous photos, but there is a reset button too.
I took it from some veeery old ball mouse and soldered right into GND and RST pins on controller board.

Nice job on the low profile. Looks ugly from below, but when you see it from the side all becomes clear! What case did you put it in? It doesn't have any case, bottom plate is just rectangular piece of bottom housing of some cheap plastic keyboard. Just used standoffs to hold it together. Standoffs...

Help to identify switches pls

Hello! One man sells Zenith ZKB-2R on r/mechmarket. He sent me close-up photos of switches and I`m completely in doubt about what I see. According to DTwiki Zenith should have ALPS, and this is... hmmm... housing is just thin bent metal? https://imgur.com/a/q9B4D Could someone help to identify these...
