You have to replace the whole switch. I had to use a LOT of liquid flux along with my fluxed desoldering braid to desolder that one microswitch on my imperator. It did NOT want to come out without a fight. Do NOT force your microswitch out. If it doesn't come out with a "reasonable" amount of force,...

I used a cherry microswitch to fix my razer imperator (which had omrons, which are SUPPOSED to be the good ones...). I have to say that I LOVE cherry microswitches. They feel so much better than any other mouse microswitch I've ever used. If 7bit ever offers the 2 compatible models (DG23C1AA (~75g),...

Very true. It's all about how good you are at finding the good deals. How much you pay for something isn't what it's worth. I am still very tempted by that 1388032 though... How much do you think it would be shipped to my door? And would it survive the journey?... (I don't want a DOA or frankenstein...

So basically you're saying that a used industrial (before proxying) is worth more than 2 NIB non-industrial shipped to my door?... The color of the case and badge are REALLY worth that much of a price increase?... The OP is allowed to call the thread whatever he damn well pleases. This is DT not GH,...

Wow, I did not know about that one. $162.66... Before proxying... But it is purdy...

I paid $158.40 total shipped for my NIB 120 and 131... I don't think I could justify that 032...

EDIT: Wait a minute... Does that listing say he has 11 of them?!

200 is a very thin grease, but a grease will always kill the click in clicky switches. Oils or a mix will have to be used to preserve the click. 200 works very well on linear and tactile switches though. When it comes down to it I think I still prefer unlubed switches. That graininess and hard thock...

OK so rindorbrot has received (and likes) his 200. Has anyone had to pay VAT yet, or is it just sacrificed time at this point?

I believe it was 3 layers of bubblewrap, followed by a layer of cardboard, and finally the bubble mailer on the outside. I made DAMN sure nobody's tube got punctured.
