This might be super obvious, but are these cherry switch or alps? If they were alps, my wallet would definitely be in danger.
You do realize that this ended almost a year ago, right?

And they are MX. Alps molds for SA don't exist. They would cost about 15-20k to do according to Clueboard

Too lazy to thumb through the wiki. What switches be these?
Looks like a foam and foil switch. Just from the outside, the whole spring thing, etc.

There is the GH80-3000 PCB, but it has issues. Terribly sorry for necro-ing this thread, but what issues does it have? Just got an NCR g81 for 50 bucks, and am looking for a replacement PCB. Issues like the right WKL alt being too close to the spacebar, not compatible with the newer G81 cases, firm...

Re: IDENTIFY THE KEYBOARD thread

Is there anything interesting about this keyboard? Don't have it at the moment, so can't get better/more photos. Thanks The keycaps look like they were made by Chicony/Montery. So it's either a rubberdome, or alps mount switches. The shape and font used on Chicony's alps mount caps are very distinc...

Well, it would appear both statements are true xD . Complicated Alps don't dissolve, simplified do xD . Only the top housings, though. Tested on; SKBM white, SKCL Yellow pine Now we need to try pine vs bamboo. Maybe they changed materials when removing the slits? https://www.keebtalk.com/t/us-ca-h-...

Re: Another custom vintage redux project. Can you guess which keyboard?

Aw darn. Not as close as I would like, but hey. Looks like it's a predecessor to the Alps Bigfoot/at101 style case design. I am sure it's quite the tank. SKCL Browns, right? It's interesting, I just got an Old Logo Dell at101 in yesterday, with Pine black alps, and ANSI AE Doubleshots. I was hoping ...

Re: Another custom vintage redux project. Can you guess which keyboard?

Judging from the caps: Some sort of alps board. Maybe a wiki/Datacomp_DFK777?

The bottom row caps are reminiscent of alps doubleshots.

From my experience, IPA in an UC is the best for a quick, deep clean. You don't really need to UC the switch plates, you can do those by hand to clear the dust off, if there is any.

Fair enough. The question though is - even if I get my hand on some New Stem Box Jades, will they crack my Double Shot ABS GMK Caps or not? The insecurity around this issue is huge. nah, that's an alps board. Tai Hao caps.
I'm curious how you can tell. What are the giveaways?

So many of these look like unbranded Model M's to me.
The giveaways are typically the font used on the caps, and the colors. Tai Hao used colored modifiers sometimes.
