Let's face it, you can't go wrong with an HHKB, be it pro1 2 or BT, they are all solid choices.
Only if it could be re-designed for 104 keys, normal-sized instead.

Now that would be something...... :) :D
Then buy a realforce. ;)

Fascinating! I haven't ever seen a 5160XT in the west, only on taobao. And that JX keyboard is quite the lucky find as well. Nice job!

Re: good mouse for CAD work?

I use an MX Ergo, and the button weighting is amazing. I can use that mouse all day. I would stay away from the Elecom Deft for CAD, as the middle click button is about as heavy as a brick. It's absurd and completely unusable.

Re: Dead? Olivetti KBD 2812

You can replace this with the G80 chili pcb. I personally would not recommend doing so, if you want to use switches made by Cherry. The holes for the PCB mount pins are much too big to be used with cherry switches, so they will immediately fall out. If you want to use a Chili pcb, stick with ...

Hang on a moment, are those cherry Dyesub caps?

If so, wow, those are nice.
I don't have any help for getting it working though, sorry.
I would say that they are not, judging from the font. Olivetti was known to have used someone else for their dyesubbing at one point.

Hello, it's my first post on this forum. I'm interested if any of you every heard of keyboard:

dtk spk-102a

Could you provide info about switches for such keyboard?

I googled it and I couldn't find any information about this specific model.
Do you have a photo of the keyboard?

Hi there - new here but very much bitten by the bug... Picked up these two recently, expecting to easily be able to identify them, but neither has any identifying marks I can find. Re: SKCM ALPS - Switchplate repair

Well, you're gonna have to replace the switchplates. Maybe open them up and spray them with contact cleaner? If that doesn't work, you're gonna need to replace the switchplate.

Also: changing the switchplate shouldn't really change the feel of the switch?

Okay, that's not a ps/2 keyboard.

See that SGI copyright? That means its an SGI protocol, which means…

You're screwed unless you can find the documentation on the protocol and program your own converter.

That would be really cool having a din port on modern Pc's. I use an external soarers converter that I got from Orihalcon that takes the cable from 5 pin DIN to USB + gives me custom key mapping. Yup, I have the same thing for my F122. The only way I can think of something like that being done is a...

First: DIN5 to PS/2 is just wiring. Find wiring diagrams online! Use of a multimeter for checking continuity could be a great help. There should be lots of active PS/2 to USB converters on the market. Just about any of them should work just as well with Cherry keyboards .. as long as it is an activ...
