Re: Northgate 101I

Beautiful Northgate board. There is something about the chassis that brings out the best in the white alps. I find myself using my 101 with white alps more so than some of the blue alp boards in my collection. Thank you for sharing!

Re: Leading Edge 2214 vs Northgate Omnikey 102 Gold? Which blue Alps keyboard is rarer or more expensive?

Honestly most of the gold badges that are out there are in pretty rough shape, the boards were built to last, but the plastic yellows very quickly and if any moisture gets into the housing, they will rust like no tomorrow. I have owned 5 gold badge Omnikeys and only one that I found felt as good as ...

I know i'm late to the party here, but wonderful restoration, I feel most of the built in beamers don't get the restoration they deserve.

Re: Looking for some vintage boards

I have 3 Zenith project boards availible on ebay if that's the kind of thing you are looking for. Shipping might be a tad expensive across the pond sadly.

Beamspring Registry

I have always thought it would be a cool idea if there was a public database where you can document beamspring keyboards, and possibly other extremely rare keyboards. It would be a really interesting way we could get a better scale for how many of these keyboards are out there. At the same time comp...

I'm not sure why those videowriter boards go for so much more than other Brown ALPS boards. Are they easily converted to USB and then using them, or are people harvesting switches? I honestly believe the one that I sold at auction is a 1 off deal. I would be really surprised if this one sells for t...

A fair price would be 700-800. If selling on ebay I would say 1250 for the 5251, and 1100 for the displaywriter.

I have already bought one of these, and it is quite nice. The switches could probably use a good cleaning, but a very interesting keyboard.

Absolutely incredible find. The slider is just like all of the double action switches I have seen. That also might be one of the best sounding linear switches that I have heard. I love the bottoming out sound. #dta2018 For sure.
