Re: NEC PC-8801

I have a different variant, but the keycaps are gorgeous! http://imgur.com/a/yxzOdPR I'm feeling the vibes of another NEC PC-8801 keyboard there. Holy shit I love that layout!!! Why the fuck did they ruin it with those fucktaba switches?! Literally nothing wrong with futaba switches.

Re: Great/Interesting Finds

We're currently closing the office, where I work. There came up this "Sun SSK" keyboard: Sun_SSK_2.jpg The key feel is quite awful - like poking a mattress, but the SSK layout looks interesting. What do you think? Should I give it some care and post more pictures or is it trash/not interesting? Id ...

Re: IBM Keyboard

Great find, but please keep the keycaps intact. Greek keycaps are quite rare and desirable, since they look very nice on a keyboard!
Dont forget to open the keyboard up (if you have the correct driver) and check the state of rivets. Best of luck with the restoration :)

Re: Do any modern Laptops have even halfway decent keyboards?

Most modern laptop with the best keaybord you are gonna get is probably a thinkpad X230/T430 with a classic keyboard mod (NMB keyboard ofc).
Chiclet doesnt feel bad, but the layout sucks.

Re: G80-1800, ISO-DE, w. coloured keycaps, also some PCBs w. MX-Blacks for harvesting

Considering these were cleaned and tinkered with, dyed keycaps and stuff, I don't find the prices to be outrageous :) Only downside for me is that they are ISO-DE, but if someone prefers that layout they would be great and fun keyboard These are great keyboards, especially if you put some foam like...

Re: Overall opinions on the IBM model M2

The most legendary Mexico manufactured Model M's are the black M13's, so there should be quite a few people who have used those. I find all model M's seem to vary quite a bit from each other in terms of feel and sound even if they were manufactured in the same month/year by the same manufacturer. I...
