It's entirely possible with something like this. If the keyboard was shaken around a lot during shipping, some of the dirt might have fallen off!

That's an inductive keyboard. Very interesting, I didn't know LE had them. What's the model number of that keyboard? I have looked across the entire internet for information on this keyboard, or even a picture of it, but I cannot seem to find one. I identified one of the chips on the board as a Schmitt trigger, which leads me to believe that it's a Hall Effect keyboard. Can anyone tell me more about it?
