Re: You won the World Cup, why riot?

This is now a duck thread. https://i.imgur.com/lB05yGbh.jpg I had a pair of pet ducks when I was a kid. It almost made up for the membrane switches on my keyboard at the time. Nice! Do you know what kind? Pekin ducks. Standard all white ducks that grow to gigantic proportions. They got a bit too bi...

Then the government better hire a cameraman to follow me at all times to make sure I'm not laundering physical cash, what a joke. Trust me, the government probably knows far more about you than you'd like to believe. ;) True, but we're probably all a lot more boring than we'd like to believe too. P...

Re: You won the World Cup, why riot?

The reason for the electoral college is to give a voice and some power in elections to the smaller flyover states. Without it they would have almost no say in any election. Its not ideal by any means and we do need to come up with something better that gives everyone a voice in decisions. I think t...

The forum is what the people who post here make it to be. In the beginning it was all "cutting edge" Cherry stuff and sixty group buys and I was mostly alone in my IBM love... But if people don't post certain stuff because there is little talk about it, or don't post when the Europeans sleep becaus...

Re: Post the ugliest keyboards you've seen!

Card readers on the keyboard? Done. Pen holders? Done. Phone holders? Done. A lighter holder is most definitely a new concept... although it begs the obvious question: where is the cigarette holder? Agreed. That keyboard is wrrong on multiple levels. I'd bet the keyboard serves like a large ash tra...

Re: So shiny! I can has?

I have a "typewriter-esque" keyboard that Lofree sent me and I can't stand the caps. They are way to small for someone with giant hands/fingers like mine. I think for the full experience one needs to use typewriter keycaps with heavy 80+g switches, then be thankful that mechanical typewriters are d...

Women love the bad boys :P Lifelong experience tells the opposite  I agree completely! The few women who like bad boys usually have baggage or are young and naieve and think they can reform them. My wife was upfront about who she is, who she was looking for, and we both treated each other ...

Wake me up when America is out of car purgatory. In case you haven't heard yet, Ford has eliminated its car division - the only car it will sell after 2018 is the Mustang. So I don't think purgatory will end anytime soon. :| Most of the SUVs out there aren't that much more rugged - a lot of them ha...

Re: A new car...

Which is exactly why I don't like crossovers. It's like the worst of both worlds, not quite as agile and fun to drive as a sedan, but not nearly as useful and rugged as an SUV. Most of the SUVs out there aren't that much more rugged - a lot of them have decorative skid plates and components hanging...

Re: Mechanical Keyboard for a Beginner?

Reddragon is pretty common. They've been a middle tier manufacturer for a few years, cheaper than the Razers and Logitechs of the world but better than the Lingyi and AJazz etc. It's okay for what it is. They said they have some "Cherry (e.g. blue) equivalent" - what manufacturer(s) can be likely b...

I would consider AWD to be the current largest vehicle sham that the American consumer has bought into. FWD and snow tires will work fine for almost car. Ground clearance and AWD is something that people think they need for snow and view it as a safety feature, when it most definitely is not. For o...

Re: IBM Model M Ninja M modification process

For a neon green color scheme, the design is actually quite elegant.

This was a board rescued from the scrap heap, not a mint condition prize - so I think the reception here should be positive. People here only get upset when a good vintage board gets modded for no reason.

Thanks for all the nice comments and suggestions on what I should do with my Wang! I think I'll just clean it all up and see how it feels and preforms on a daily basis. Re: Choices for Mechanical RGB Keyboard with Blue Switches

You might want to check out redragon keyboards. If they have something similar to the K556 Vara with outemu blues instead of brown, it would be a solid under $60 keyboard with the lights and things the kids are in to these days. My K556 is really nice for the price. Aluminum body and top plate mean ...
