Re: G80-3000 PCB, Vintage mx switches/board
If a replica PCB is an option, you can order this G80-3000 Chili through a proxy https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=565823984744. I just bought two. Fully programmable, you only need to solder switches and leds. I've been contemplating buying it. The only thing that worries me is the mounting poin...

Re: Dumb question of the day: Are there any WS2801 leds small enough to fit inside linear Alps switches?
1204 / 1206 / 0603 SMD led diodes will fit. You can drive them with something like the WS2801 to make them adressable. if you want a pre-package adressable RGB led driver, the only package that should work is the 3528/6028 were you could have cutouts of the pcb to fit on the underside atleast what I...

Re: Stuff you just bought
I purchased an inexpensive photography lighting kit a few months back. But I'm clumsy and broke two of bulbs that it came with. I was tickled at how hilariously huge the replacement bulbs were in comparison. Hope these serve me well as I document my keyboard escapades! https://i.imgur.com/TqN410E.j...

oh wow! That mouse looks amazing! but what if my hand is a bit smudgy? It won't look that great after 2 months of use, unless you're a clean-o-phile. The surface is matte so nothing will stick to the surface, what I've found is that dead skin sticks to the side due to me rubbing my fingers across t...

Re: DSS anyone
BTW, there have been a short discussion somewhere of the possibility of combining DSS and SA profiles, using a different profile for different rows. I dunno if that is feasible or if the features and finishes would be too different. that would be interesting :D DSS comes only in matte top, semi-mat...

exceptionally good job. When I saw your post on GH I immediately bookmarked it. I'm been intrested in using a halfplate for one of my builds. Do you think not using leds will make the alignment much harder? And do you know what ptfe powder you were using? I'm always looking for a new lube to try. D...

A dirty board usually go for 200~ so that would be a decent price for the condition. Or import from Asia.

Re: Resoldering switches
63/37 Leaded solder 0.6mm width with RMA core Adjustable temperature on a soldering iron, preferable with different tips to suit your needs. A good quality solder sucker (don't skimp out). With wave soldered boards I usually go over all the legs and retin them with 63/37 so it makes it easier to rem...
