Re: Fullsize alps PCB?

You could mount the two halves of a Quefrency together in a single plate and get a 65% with 10 macro keys on the left side.

Re: 6x4 MacroPad from scratch with ProMicro and QMK

Looks nice! If I had one of these, I probably wouldn't even have considered building my own keyboard. Only problem is availability, and also the win 32bit only support for changeme. When I first had the idea of using tipro MID boards as a split keyboard config, I was looking for 64 keys modules, bu...

Re: Should the "6" key be pressed with the left or right hand?

Given that I use a split board and have my mouse in the middle I'm going to go with right index finger as reaching over my numpad and mouse with my left hand would be annoying.

Modding it to ANSI would indeed be quite simple with practically no tampering with the keyboard itself (if, as I presume, it is not plate-mounted). . hexatek.png . Would something like half a Levinson from Keeb.io work? You could easily solder leads to the right place on the board instead of using a Pro Micro.

Clamp the pcb down and gently tap the edge of the connector on each side with a soft plastic tool and a hammer maybe?

Re: Get the PITCHFORK key ready! Microsoft intends to molest the keyboard layouts again.

Hmm, that's a point, I wonder if there's such a thing as a minimum-height, non-moving MX-compatible keycap that can be used to replace those stupid Windows keys and return the useful hand-positioning gaps for those of us who don't touch-type? I'm not even sure what to search for. :/ You're looking ...

Vintage IBM 3476 Infowindow w/ f 122 keyboard Not a bad deal for an F122,plus bonus vintage computer. Sorry that I have to correct you, but that keyboard is definitely an M 122 keyboard, not an F122 (the RJ45 plug is a direct giveaway, and the non-stepped 1.5U mods don't help). Yup,I use an MX Black with the spring cut by a third as the second switch for the 2u POS caps on my BFO-9000, you could use 2 MX Reds so that you can use each individually if you find the need.

I'm interesteed in one Digipro. Which connection do they have? They have a PS/2 port however you will need to use a 32 bit OS/virtual box if you want to reprogram the keyboard over PS/2 (I think?) Re: Post a picture of your ideal keyboard layout!

One thing, though: that 1U Alt and the "offset" split space bar strike me as needing a do-over. I'm sure you're right. At this point I'm just throwing stuff around and see what sticks ... the idea was to have a fully symmetrical 22x6 matrix, with a mount (if not a switch) at every intersection. Giv...

My perfect mouse would be the Logitech G502 with the G600's 12 side buttons. I am in awe of those who can navigate more than two side buttons on a mouse! I play a lot of World of Warcraft,so I've had a lot of time to adapt, makes gaming so much easier with the bulk of your abilities under your thumb.

Swill has a plate builder if you are not aware about it by some strange chance.
This is probably it: http://builder.swillkb.com/
There is a lot of discussion about it on geekhack.
I never used it myself.

I used it to design the top plates for my BFO-9000,it's pretty easy to use.
