Re: Beam Spring 104+SSK Reproduction Project! First Batch In Stock, Shipping early next year after New Model F Project

...at last. The keyboard I've been expecting for years. A modern Beamspring that is not over-expensive. Not that I am not satisfied with the Fs I bought from you, but I consider the Beamsprings to be even better: better tactile response, less noise. So I filled up the form. One thing has me a bit wo...

You also need to ensure that your AUR package rules files for UDEV has been correctly installed where it should (on my debian box: /etc/udev/rules.d/). This file is named: 82-ibm-capsense-usb.rules. I have that directory but no such file, so that may be the problem. /etc/udev/rules.d/ is the standa...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

Thanks TheLagMaker for your detailed review and notes on the xwhatsit Linux configuration. I have asked the factory to look into the issue of the lines on some of the cases. webwit is correct that the molds were designed so that the F62 and F77 molds could be shared. The molds used in this project ...

Thanks for your detailed review, TheLagMaker. I enjoyed reading it.
Thanks, Lagomorph. I probably made it a bit too long, part of it because I particularly enjoy typing those days :D .

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

Thanks for your suggestions. I was able to build the AUR package, but all that happens when I run `ibm_capsense_usb_util` is a dialogue box pops up saying `error: couldn't open device`. You also need to ensure that your AUR package rules files for UDEV has been correctly installed where it should (...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I saw the same small defects on the cases Khers talked about earlier in this thread: a sort of vertical, slightly sunken line on the right side of the upper case. It begins above the pencil rail, is I have both the F62 and F77 plus some spare cases for both, and they all hey the same artifact. It i...

Re: Input Club Beamspring-like? new board

I talked to a couple people on Discord that tried the Silo beam switch prototypes. They reported it feels a bit more like click bar and quite a bit different vs the IBM design. I guess that makes sense when you shrink everything down so much. Lets hope they improve the final version before launch. ...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I received my 2 F62s "classic" almost 2 week ago, with my aid kits and supplementary keycaps. It happened faster than I expected. I am typing on one of my brand new model Fs right now. The package had suffered a blow, but fortunately, it was the box containing the keycaps that took most of the (rath...

Re: Input Club Beamspring-like? new board

Ms Reason and Ms Vintage Ibm Fan had a debate, that went more or less like this: Reason: This is the keyboard you typically don't want. Features you despise and consider as gadgets, like backlighting, features you don't care about (hall-effect), and a price you never saw applied to good quality keyb...
