Re: Round 7 / ALGOL-style / Deadline 2018-11-30

It would be nice if 7bit could just poke his head in here and give us a nod that he's still around.

Re: Round 7 / ALGOL-style / Deadline 2018-11-30

@7bit any updates on the status of 7bot and how you will be taking orders and sending out invoices in the future?

They all seem pretty far under MOQ and the deadline is pretty close... will the deadline for round 7A be extended? I feel like more people would be on board if this GB wasn't so grossly under marketed and so complicated to order- maybe we can help with exposure? Anyone know how to make renders? Yes...

I would love something like this with built-in Bluetooth. Has anyone ever done a GB for something like that?

Is there separate MOQ for ASCII kits, CADET kits, etc? Are the number just too low to report? I've said it before, but I REALLY like the ASCII legends. :)

I would love a 2u Row 3 Keyboard Runner or Lotus or Alien. Dunno if there is any chance it could ever make MOQ though. Or even a 2u Row 3 blank...:)

So, if you aren't going to get the new text legends don't you have to make some adjustments to the text modifiers kits that are listed as part of Round 7? I need 1u keys to support an ortholinear layout so I was looking forward to all those FunText kits. I know your other rounds have enough 1u text...

I can't image what vintage keyboard used to have violet and cream keycaps. I don't think 7bit got the idea from another keyboard or keycap set. The idea may have come from suggestions sent to him during the Round 6 IC all those years ago. Someone at GeekHack who's username was VPX, came up with thi...

Hi all! I have some good news and some bad news! :? The good news is that there will be a Round 7! :ugeek: The bad news: I will reduce the amount of new legends. There will be the ASCII legends, most of the symbol legends, but no new text legends, these will remain the ones we had in previous...

Looks like this is using WV instead of WCK for the cream.

Anyone have any theories as to why the numbers on the ASCII kits are so low? Seems like that is one of the signature aspects of this set and they look so good. Do people just have burnout on the novelty of dual legends? That's a good question, the ASCII set is what had me excited about this Me too ...

It would be cool if you could get a kit of this in R3 profile:

You should be excited. 7bit must have reevaluated the group buy and then issued a new target for Round 7. This is progress.
Is the deadline for all Round 7 orders? Or just for Violet/Cream orders?

How does one discover exactly what is still in stock as far as leftovers go? I put in an order and several things were no longer in stock. I expected that might be the case, but it would be nice to have a better idea up front before placing an order.
