Re: Advice on mice to stop RSI problems

I'm wondering since when a desire for comfort isn't an actual reason... :)

Re: PSA: Perixx sells replacement 34mm and 55mm balls for trackballs

I've heard it wasn't successful indeed, and quickly discontinued. But I'd like to find one and add to my collection anyway...

(I hope they make a separate trackball too eventually),
They've did it several years ago: it was Perixx Peripro-302.

Re: Working PS/2-USB converter for CH Products Rollermouse?

I use such methods, too, when something fancy is needed. But for basic devices with up to 3 buttons, Chinese $1 converter with no programming required is hard to beat.

Re: Working PS/2-USB converter for CH Products Rollermouse?

I know this converter very well. Often, they're suffering from poor soldering quality: one of USB wires is probably disconnected in your case. They are good as a source of small PCB inside, to be embedded into old PS/2 devices for converting to USB. Actually, using one of them right now BTW...

Re: RadioShack trackball - opinions? reviews?

is it really 800dpi? (just curiosity) Very unlikely. Chinese "specs" typically needs to be divided by factor of two to ten... :) I don't currently have this particular model (ordered, but haven't received for two months), but my WWT-5E seems to have identical ball mechanics, and it is 400 CPR (that...

Re: RadioShack trackball - opinions? reviews?

A4tech are bad not because of resolution: the mechanical design (separate rubberized encoder shafts) causes the ball to skip movement, even with frequent cleaning. ITAC is perfect in that, but resolution is quite low by today's standards.

Re: RadioShack trackball - opinions? reviews?

IMHO, absolutely best there is a Logitech Marble FX. If it's indeed possible to buy working one for $20, that would be incredible deal.

Re: RadioShack trackball - opinions? reviews?

Not CST: both are rebranded A4Tech trackballs (WWT-13 and WT-7, respectively). Not good as a primary pointing device...

No, I've just uploaded this image to show "what's BusMouse to PS/2 adapter looks like". I don't use mice at all, but modded some of my trackballs using described method. :)

Found this old Bus mouse at the recycling center. I cant really find any information about it. can find a similar ones but not this exact model. would like to know if there is a easy way to get it to work via ps2? Yes, sure. Easiest way, technically, is to find MS adapter: instant compatibility wit...
