Re: BOX switches
You go on this topic time after time, I've tried both mx clears and orange Alps, brown Alps, ect and both feel 'actually tactile' in my opinion. Sure the design isn't optimal but I think the end result of mx clears feels just as good as tactile Alps as a tactile switch. There's still a big tactile ...

Re: Post the ugliest keyboards you've seen!
There are no such things as ugly keyboards, only ugly typists. [translated ancient proverb] Just kidding. My entrant is this: http://i66.tinypic.com/9ka05z.jpg Not only does it look hiiiideous - clearly yellowed with age, with illegible key printing - but the keys are mushy, the caps are sticky, an...

Re: Alps keyboard: Matias, Custom or Ebay??
I don't think custom would be viable, both from cost perspective and from lack of options (pre-fabricated plates for full size Alps keyboards are either non-existant or very rare, for instance). You have to hunt around if you want a used board in good condition, but it should be doable (may depend o...

Re: HUGE list of keyboard part numbers
Quick, someone take this list, edit out all the keyboards Chyros has already reviewed on Youtube, and post it so I can start buying up the remaining ones at reasonable prices for once before he gets to them. :D Kidding aside (okay, only half-kidding), nice find! I did a quick scan of list for any in...

Re: Alps Appreciation
Thanks! I hadn't considered that.swampangel wrote: ↑05 May 2019, 15:52To me, click-modding (/replacing with a click leaf) makes the switches feel a bit lighter anyway, since the hooks on the leaf move out of the way with slightly less resistance. So you might start there and see how you feel.

Re: Alps Appreciation
Hey everyone, I got an AEKII (M3501) keyboard with white damped Alps a few months ago and just recently got around to getting a converter/S-video cable and finally testing it (one dead key, but otherwise working well, though the board and keycaps are a little dirty). My first experience with Alps, b...

Re: Alps Appreciation
Hi, does anyone know what the weighting/actuation force is of the springs in Pine Black switches? The stock springs are just a tad heavier than ideal for me, so I'm considering swapping them for slightly lighter springs. I assume that would make them a little closer to SKCM Orange, correct? I have o...
