I added those lines to my matrix init function, but that does not seem to have any impact to fix the backslash keys. The other keys that share the same rows and columns seem to work fine, which is odd. I am using Adafruit's 32u4 breakout board (http://www.ladyada.net/products/atmega32u4breakout/#des...

I've finally found some time to work on my keyboard. I have got the two Kinesis keywells hooked up and working, but the two backslash keys don't seem to be working. I also noticed that if I press and hold "down", it looks like I have just tapped the "down" key. I am wondering if perhaps there is som...

This looks awesome, CJNE! I'm about to pick up my Kinesis controller replacement project again (using TMK) and was wanting to do something similar to this. If it hasn't been done already, I'll see what I can do to make it fit the Kinesis.

I apologize for not reading all the posts here or all the source before asking my questions, but I figure asking directly is simpler and clearer. I've been meaning to use this firmware for a long time and see that it has improved a lot since I last looked at it. There are a couple features I'm curio...

I've been thinking of doing a mod like this for my Kinesis. Yesterday I found this on Tindie: https://www.tindie.com/products/jkicklighter/adns-9800-optical-laser-sensor/ The guy designed the board for a custom trackball, and it works over SPI, so it should be relatively easy to integrate into a cus...

Suka: I got your prototypes yesterday. Very interesting stuff. (Also, impressive packing job getting all that stuff into that tiny box). The curvature of the key well in the smoothly curved sample is a bit steeper than my Kinesis. I might have to try populating it (or a slightly modified version) to...

Has anyone gotten the N35P112 hall effect joystick to work with a teensy? I'm looking for a firmware code sample that makes it work as a mouse. My one remaining doubt now is how I can get access to the console mode. Can anyone shed some light on this? I have not yet used the console mode, but as I understand it, you need to connect a USB-serial adapter to the serial port of your microcontroller. One of the many things I want to do is use t...

hasu, thank you for the firmware and open sourcing it. It's really great. Do you have plans to support switching layers by changing the position of MX-lock switches? I was thinking of hacking that in there but didn't want to waste the effort if you were already working on it. Thanks! I have dug a b...

How do you like those joysticks as mice? Can you compare them to a TrackPoint? I'm modding my Kinesis and planning to use the same joystick as this board has (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10835) but I also have some PSP joysticks and have considered the full size thumb stick too.

It comes in three sizes and mine (and Sparkfun's) is the smallest. It has very little travel, just a bit more than a Trackpoint. I don't think the cap cutouts would have to be much bigger than for a TrackPoint, if at all.

tlt: Comments page to the joystick says that that one was used in dell laptops, so PH102 caps (track stick cover) will fit. Ebay shows some results for around $5. I think you misread. The analog buttons could be interesting for mouse keys too. I just started using hasu's firmware with mouse keys and the fact that i can't precisely control the cursor speed without tapping would be solved with analog keys. I'm getting more tempted to do this mod, but I already have too few pins on ...

Kinesis Contoured. It may be thick and have a gap between the hands, but it is TKL, arrows are moved in closer, and has an embedded, programmable layer for num pad and more.
