I once bought a used 3000HED to try Clears. Don't know what I expected, but so far Clears are the biggest disappointment for me of the Cherry switches (no experience with Browns and Whites yet). I tried them with the original, black and blue springs, but they just don't feel right: always sticky and...

[Verkauft] MX-Greens

I hope it's not lost, especially if greens are sold out...

I'll never get it why everybody thinks vintage blacks are smoother. I have several G80 HADs from the 90s, and to me they all feel just stiffer than the newer ones.

Any reason to keep G81 boards?

I have a bunch of G81's that I got for the caps. (Of course, and I can't imagine any other reason why to get one.) Is there anything except the obvious (case, cable) that can be used as spare parts for G80 boards? Electronics, controller, whatever? If not, I'll cut two of the better cables, keep two...

A slider phone with MX Blues! They don't even fit in notebooks nowadays. Or did they ever? Well, people have no problem holding a 5"+ baking tray next to their ear and talking to it. Where's the difference in holding a G80 to your head? Doesn't have to be the full 102/105 keys, I can live with a 18...

I'd try the Q10. The keyboard is reason enough. Those touch only phones may have a bigger screen for web browsing, but to me virtual keyboards are a pain if you want to send e-mails longer than 2 words more than 2 times a day. Concerning the "openness" of the OS, Meego/N9 would be the way to go. I r...

Same here. I have mapped Caps Lock as compose key in xorg.conf. So i use it once in a while.

But I never use Scroll Lock. And left Win, right Win and Menu - that is because I do not have keyboards on which these keys do exist... :)

HPMDE --> Throw the board away, get a new L(P/S/Q)CDE and move the caps to the new board.

Or... sell the caps and use the money to get two new G80s to have one in spare if this sort of accident tends to happen more often...

It really sucks that all the "cool" "special" Cherry boards default to MX-Black only.

I thought about converting one of my 2551 HADs to HFD, but getting two LSCDEs for 45€ each just to rip out the springs and stems to make one other board clicky...
