Re: 5000 AZERTY Keyboards NOS

It would be silly to try and piecemeal large chunks of the boards to people all over the world, especially on this limited timeframe. Get all 5k to a community member, and we can make plans from there. At the moment all we should be worried about is fundraising and logistical transport to a single p...

Whoever gets them, for the love of god don't sell them at whatever current market for NOS space invaders is. We have a unique opportunity to crash the market and still make a profit with how cheap these are, lets not waste it! lmao you just gave me the thought of some ebay seller with 5000 inventor...

I could potentially help out with some of the cost, as well as some storage space. I am in the US though, so unless we want to buy a cargo container then I doubt I would be viable.

Re: 5000 AZERTY Keyboards NOS

Jesus, this is huge. Just when I was looking to build a linear SI board, thousands of NOS ones pop up. Shame shipping to the US is so bad. Imagine if something like this happened for some of the higher-valued keyboards in existence, it would be incredible. I look forward to seeing the price of SI cr...

Proxy needed in the Riverside California area

A gentleman has offered me a very good price on a clean looking Leading Edge DC-2014, but he refuses to ship. I will pay for someone to pick up the board and pack and ship to me, simple as that. Take a week to enjoy the board if you want, it's certainly a good one!

The largest community is on r/mechanicalkeyboards but Reddit is not made for this kind of threads (maybe a little post asking for help with a link of th...

Re: Vintage Increases Value?

What will the replacement for typing be? Will be submitting our brainscans to google? How would general typing going obsolete cause collectors to stop collecting? BCI devices will, whether we like it or not, probably become as standard as smartphones are today within the next decade or two. Tom Sco...

Re: Vintage Increases Value?

I hope the bubble collapses soon and we can revert back to reasonable prices, but for now the only way to get a decent board at a decent price is to deal hunt. Would be nice, wouldn't it? But given how mechanical keyboards are seeing a definite resurgence, and these vintage boards are not getting a...

Re: Vintage Increases Value?

Especially as prices continue to skyrocket, I have made it my mantra to never buy a board at market price. Even for things people would consider rare, like F107, certain expensive Alps boards, and beamsprings can be had at well under "market" value if you just wait long enough. I hope the bubble col...

Just a quick word on TB1855:
Apparently, the lube wears off extremely quickly, after about 2 months of use or so. I'll have to confirm this myself, but I think we can cross that one off the list.

Re: Strange Stabilizer

What do the stabilizer mounts look like on the keyboard (i.e. can you show us the other side of the keyboard)? It looks like Cherry mount. Have you tried a spacebar, mounts, and stabilizers from a different keyboard? Far from Cherry mount, I wouldn't even call it a "mount" per se. PXL_20210503_2156...

I got a pretty interesting specimen of a board in last week that I switch swapped. It has quite a few weird things about it, but I'll save it for another time. The most glaring issue with this board is that it's missing a stab clip, which, just my luck, seems to be super unique and proprietary. Does...

The effect of influencers on the market is unavoidable unfortunately. Chyros's affect on the market is (I hope) completely unintentional.

Won't stop me from cursing him every time I see someone (cough cough keebmeup) selling Alps for $3 a switch though.

I made this in 2011 and has been my daily driver since. Typing on it right now. It doesn't show well in the picture, but the Caps Lock key has blue LED indicator under it. Beautiful! I really want to do an ANSI mod and an inverted-T arrow mod on an M122, that would make it vastly more usable for me...

What’s to regret? Those legends are beautiful and the switches are great.
Let me put it to your this way: the cost of the board was originally $50 plus $50 ship, that somehow turned into $90 ship plus various fees. Plus, it's ISO, which as we all know is borderline unusable.

[WTS] NIB German AEK 2

Regretted this purchase even before the extra shipping cost. This is located in the US, not Germany, but I can still ship back if necessary. Has dampened whites, completely new never used.

Asking 150 plus ship, extremely negotiable price.
