Cool Twst! I really like how you solved adapting the DAC size from one to the other format! Genius! :) so happy it works!
Thanks!
I have learned to go with what you have on hand, and it seems to work perfectly ;)

Re: READY - $10 - DIY Through Hole Universal Model F and Beamspring Controller

All sorted! I had made a stupid mistake hooking it up and there was some tweaking needed in the threshold. Thank you Andrei!! And a big thanks to everyone working on this project. F122 is now tested working with this controller ;) Will report back when I have been using it for a couple of days. My f...

Re: READY - $10 - DIY Through Hole Universal Model F and Beamspring Controller

Small QMK update: I added F122 support based on the top layer picture from kmnov2017. There's a good chance it won't work out of the box, so if anyone has an f122 (with any type of xwhatsit controller), and you'd like to test QMK, let me know. Also I created through_hole variants of all the current...

Re: xwhatsit vs. tensey

While Soarers work fine, it's kind of dated. It's possible to convert the terminal keyboard to QMK with all its features with a teensy or a pro micro without the need to replace the controller. https://github.com/qmk/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/converter/ibm_terminal That beeing said, I like ...

I am a believer too. Have converted both my F77 and F62 to QMK and it works without a single hickup. Autocalibration seems to work its wonder every time I plug it in and it have accepted every macro and key config I have thrown at it. Such great work! Great sound twst! Did you use a key combination to switch on/off the solenoid? Didn't know that was possible! Thanks! Yep! The solenoid switch is found as "Exp Toggle" in the keymap dropdown in Capsense software. I placed it on a layer so I could turn in on and off as I see fit ;) Makes serious wor...

no I doubt you can brick it, but you could get to a not nice stack overflow maybe? :) I don't know the proton and if that would be much better, but in the end we also wanted to use here something cheap and easy to source, which also is part of the "mission" statement, right? This is defently pushing the beamspring and model fs and other capacitive board longer into the 21st century for anyone interested. Will build a couple of these for sure. You need to install the capsense software ( https://static.wongcornall.com/ibm-capsense-usb/ ) and adjust the current threshold until every key registrers. Cool, looking forward to it. Should be straight forward with whatever plugged in it as long as you get the solenoid line to fire. Only when using the xwhatsit solenoid board you need a high pin to wake the board, but that should be easy enough to get going ;) Maybe a specific setting for activating ...

Yes that would be good; the problem is the keyboard spams keys as soon as it's plugged in, if the xwhatsit threshold is set too low. If there's a way to automatically send the xwhatsit into bootloader when it's connected that would be great. correct that's what this utility should do. I've sent you...
