Re: READY - $10 - DIY Through Hole Universal Model F and Beamspring Controller

Hi. I've laid out a version of this for model f at, if anyone is interested. Tested and working fine. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/frogmaster/TH-XWhatsIt-F/main/model_f_at_board.jpg Kicad files and gerbers can be found here: https://github.com/frogmaster/TH-XWhatsIt-F Minor change from my teste...

Re: SSK Firing \| when I press Left Shift

I had a unicomp board, where i had a similar but much worse issue, where left arrow would fire when pressing rctrl. It was not immediately apparent, but there was a very slight bend in the backplate, the issue went away, when I massaged it a bit.

Re: Advice on 2 keys not working on my M

B and N are just at the end of a row on the membrane matrix, so it's quite possible that the trace has corroded there. You can't know without opening it up though, so follow Wheezers advice, but if the membrane isn't working and couple of days in some dry warm place doesn't help... Then I'm afraid, ...

How IBM model M keycaps met idye poly

Thought i'd share my experiments with idye poly and old ibm keycaps. Caps painted are all from some Model M. Could not bring myself to dye model F keys, yet at least. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1YE0bDKs9JRrOgFEBtMvq8F9eMZfV_Y0G The blue gradient starts with turquoise and ends wit...

Re: TMK IBM PC Keyboard Converter

Added the keys to keymap editor. It should make easier to remap hidden keys of IBM AT keyboard. Can you try this? You can load your existent firmware file at "Base Firmware File:" section and the editor should display your mapping correctly. http://www.tmk-kbd.com/tmk_keyboard/editor/unimap/?ibmpc_...

Re: TMK IBM PC Keyboard Converter

frogmaster, Oh, AT keyboard. I assumed your keyboard is XT becasue you refered process_cs1. I didn't realize missing keys on AT editor but I'll add them. The misssing keys are 39 and 68 in scan code? Is there any other? https://www.seasip.info/VintagePC/ibm_6450225.html And can you post pic of your...

Re: TMK IBM PC Keyboard Converter

Well for start, EXTRA_INSERT (0xb6) is missing from numpad (should be left of NUMPAD 0). What is the button i should select on the editor? Also, what are these mapped as on keymap editor keyboard? I was trying to grep these values in ibmpc_usb.c, but only one that showed up was 0xB6, which seems to ...

[WTB][EU/EE] Model F AT

Looking for Model F AT in Europe. Let me know if you have one you are willing to part with. I know there are some available in US, but i feel like shipping and customs are bit much for my wallet.

Re: Is it possible to run a patch wire here?

How much does something like that cost? I'm also wondering because I couldn't seem to get any conductivity from the wire, even in a section that isn't broken or scratched away. Is there some mask or something that has to be removed first? Couple of € from aliexpress or other usual suspects, more fr...

Re: Is it possible to run a patch wire here?

I would use something like "Copper Foil Tape with Conductive Adhesive" from adafruit or equivalent, cut into appropriate shape. Or barring that, regular copper foil with small dabs of conductive paint where copper meets the membrane trace, as regular foil doesn't have conductive adhesive.
