This actually looks way more appealing than I had thought it would! and great on the wires, it looks stellar! The blanks spots on the board looks really good, gives it a lot of character. But did you design the plate yourself? since it's a rather odd decision to include a 6.5u spacebar and block off...

I am just gonna post this as a kind of bump, and because I really want this to happen. This set might not look flashy or as exciting as some other, but Cherry White-on-Black is hands down one of the most elegant keyset there is. It's like a good suit and tie for your board 8-) https://dangwang.files...

Re: Carbonated non-alcoholic drinks of choice?
Cherry Coke all day, every day!
(maybe it's more like a few a week, I want to keep my teeth)
If I can't get that, i much prefer regular Pepsi to Coke, much better tasting. Coke is too dry for me.

Hmmm.... Doesn't mention the switches, claims swappable plates despite switches looking like they're plate-mounted, and doesn't mention how it would communicate with the PC(pretty sure the USB and PS/2 keyboard protocols are digital-only). Don't know about you, but I'm smelling bull here. And even ...

Purple mods are fine, but they shouldn't have been the first colorway that was run. At that time a lot of WoB sets from 1800 boards (IIRC) was also harvested, to make people participate in the GMK group buys since the MOQ was so damn high. It would only have made sense to have run it in WoB. Fun fac...

This is looking really interesting :o After having used a 65% as my main board for a few years now, a split functionality is the main improvement I would like to see. But figuring out a bottom-row is a real mind-fucker, so it's not an easy job designing the board ;) Having worked with the idea earli...

What's 55's? The name "Ripster" was apparently taken on Reddit when he was thrown out of GH, so he had to go with "Ripster55". Funny, as he has always boasted being #1  But the anniversary reminds me I have to rejoin the club again! It's been on my to-do-list since the "time-to-cough-up-again-...

Hey Broadmonkey: How much filing did you have to do for the stab clips? Unbelievably, I've still got to install mine! Steel keeps putting me off. It actually took me quite some time and head scratching to get the stab holes done right, but it wasn't by much they would have to be filed. Eventually I...

Ah, that is indeed a good question :) The answer is that I have a [wiki]KBT Pure[/wiki] that I partially installed LEDs in. When I used that keyboard, the LEDs would shine heavily through the cracks between the two keys in front of it. Like the LED installed in the "S" key would be very visible betw...

Thanks for the nice words, guys :) I assume that on the Esc you have a Nixie Black with Green stem, it just doesn't look like a "Gatorade" :P No Gateron in this board. As you said, it's a Nixdorf with an MX green stem and, I think, a 65g spring. Looks like this without key caps (and grime from a yea...

So yeah, This is my result from matt3o's laser-cut-prototyping-mini-gb . Lethal squirrel at GH is indeed the one who made those gifs. I remember Ripster and him discussing it before rootw00rm.

IndexPlusPlus actually linked to that xkcd in his " This link has more information. " found in the OP, which I found ironic. But on to the real deal. While there is of course some good stuff on reddits wiki, the only reason it exists (as in, is even worth a look) is because Ripster got kicked from G...

Re: Face U/MX-mini U replica, acrylic/alu plate, KEEP ORDERI
There is no standard keycaps per se. There is what is often referred to as Filco layout (or modern) which uses 1.25u bottom row modifiers, 6.25u spacebar and a long left shift. This is also what a modern G80-3000 uses although I am not sure on the stem positions on the spacebar and caps lock. Afterm...

Just to get it straight. I think there is a bit of misconception regarding the "piracy" issue of the PCBs. The part that is supposedly pirated is the actual PCB design meaning traces, choice of components, placement of said components and the actual work of putting it all together. The form factor (60%, 75%, TKL or whatever...
