I know this thread is more or less dying, but I'm surprised no one pointed out that Paypal often requires that a buyer destroy the disputed item in order to receive the chargeback. It seems pretty relevant in this case. Famous example, including screen grab of Paypal's TOS that describe the clause: ...

I've read A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man, which I really liked. I was recently in Dublin and I saw Ulysses at the airport bookstore for 3 euros, so I figured now was as good of a time as any to tackle it!

Currently reading James Joyce's "Ulysses" and a book in the Springer Natural Computing series called "Evolution as Computation". Good times. I tend to alternate between an artsy, difficult read and an easy-to-read, well-told story. Before "Ulysses" I read Ray Bradbury's "Farenheit 451". Before that,...

I just meant community dynamics-wise.
Without a doubt, the modern explosion in mechanical keyboard popularity facilitated my awareness of them.

Too bad, I just got a used one in the mail today!

@Merijn: you'll almost certainly have to pay some sort of import/duty fees, but I think that would be out of the control of the group buy organizer.

Pues, vivo en España pero no soy de aquí, entonces aunque conozco la idioma bastante bien, no la domino. Sin embargo, yo estaría contento hablar con otros del mundo hispanoparlante.

I personally disable websites from loading their own fonts and I choose my own to be used on all sites. Not that I have particularly strong opinions on fonts but I see no reason for each site to display its own one. This allows for a bit more of a consistent experience browsing the web. (as opposed ...

Basic soldering stuff can be had for about the price of a pizza! Mind, that's real basic kit, but workable. Oh, price was never the thing stopping me. I spend all my time programming so I just never got around to thinking of a good basic electronics project to toy with. Without a project in mind, I...

jakob, if you happen to have a multimeter, it's probably worth your while to test that cable; if that turns out to be the iffy part, then all the more reason to follow CeeSA's guide for a detachable cable! ;) Sadly I personally don't have one. I can hunt around my lab to see if we have one hidden h...

Well, that was easy enough. It popped open relatively easy using a card and the board comes right out, not being actually attached to the case in any way. I did notice that one of the four contacts in the connector was a bit off, but not in such a way that I would normally find suspect. Not seeing a...

What's the proper way to open a Noppoo Choc Mini?

Total noob question, please be patient :) I just received a used Choc Mini and out of the box I was having a bunch of problems in Linux. It seemed that it only worked randomly. When it wasn't working the kernel was complaining about not being able to enumerate the device and at one point hinted that...

I have a (used) Noppoo Choc Mini with MX Browns coming in the mail this week, which I'm looking forward to as a much-needed reprieve from this garbage mushy HP thing that came with my work computer. As soon as I live in an apartment that's big enough for me to have such luxuries as a dedicated compu...
