Re: my IBM 5155 keyboard with integrated macro deck screen

…so I put a keyboard in your keyboard! It's nice to see it done. Right enough, that exposed cable store would invite me to repurpose the space as well. Glad to hear Soarer's got you covered. Thanks! I think that it looked really good with the coiled cable inside, but once you remove it, it se...

my IBM 5155 keyboard with integrated macro deck screen

Hi guys. It's been a while since I last posted here, but I would like to show you how my project went. About a year ago, I purchased an IBM 5155 (the portable computer) keyboard. I wanted to make a soarers converter for it and get it to work, but I lacked some info on the pin-out of the connector to...

Re: how fast do you type?

80 WPM in English 74 WPM in Finnish Both typed at work with a shitty low profile rubber dome piece of shit. Some vowel and consonant combinations in Finnish are considerably tricky, for example the word 'jäkälä', which you'll have to type with your right hand only and only using home row keys, and ...

IM BACK ON TOP! XD

I gotta say that I was really surprised when I hit 99, but disappointed for not hitting 100. Then, I went back to my 85-87 average.

Re: Recommendations for New Keyboard

I had a krom kernel TKL that was pretty ok, it had no Cherry original but Outemu (I dont know if its a deal breaker for you) and the RGB was solid and well executed for such a cheap board (I paid 40€). It was my first mechanical keyboard and I gave it to my friend so its his first one as well. I end...

Re: Signature Plastics custom doubleshots - Great experience!

Id love to have some "cash" keys on one of my boards, those are really cool. PM me, the dark green & white ones from last year's set are discontinued and available for sale. Thanks a lot, but I dont have any MX compatible board anymore. I used to have two (gamerish stuff, nothing special) but I did...

Re: Ergonomics and desk setups?

If it really is the desk height that is too tall, grab a hacksaw and chop them legs. I have done it. does it have metal or wood legs? Not a fan of trays. Have also used risers to good effect. Have you seen 'Silverado' where the bar tender says "The world is what you make of it friend, if it doesn't...

Re: Ergonomics and desk setups?

I have a chair I got from my grand uncle (I heard he paid a lot of money for it when new) and its the classic "executive" leather chair but green (I know), its cool, but I recently tried the SecretLabs Titan gaming chair that one of my friends has. I usually hate gaming chairs because they are kinda...

Re: [FREE-EU] Rack/Tray mount keyboard-mouse combination

Neat, the touchpad location seems much more usable than Cherry's 11800 or 11900 (which were similarly based on the 1800 layout). It reminds me of this monster I've been working on (which came missing the rails and still need a serial converter for the ball, but someday it will be the meatiest 1800)...
