Re: (EU-NL) 10 NeXT Keyboard's with feet-Make offers in comments!

Seller, I'm still interested in ABP151430. I am a serious bidder, but I do not want to overpay. The highest legitimate bid I saw for it was 5,69 euros. So I would like to bid 5,70 euros. Please update the OP with the current bid on that keyboard so I can evaluate my finances if I am outbid. Edit: I ...

Re: (EU-NL) 10 NeXT Keyboard's with feet-Make offers in comments!

I just checked under my couch cushions and now I could go up to 5,18 I just found out I can con one of the undergrads to clean this for me, so I can definitely do 5,19 As you know undergrads time are worth about 0,003 euro an hour. I just did something I’m not proud of in the metro station bathroom...

Re: (EU-NL) 10 NeXT Keyboard's with feet-Make offers in comments!

I can bid 5.13 euros on it, but only because I will be saving on shipping since I'm getting '0026 as well. You drive a hard bargain but it's clearly worth slightly more. But I just looked up the dollar to euro exchange rate on paypal and it's not great. I bid 5,17 I just checked under my couch cush...

Re: (EU-NL) 10 NeXT Keyboard's with feet-Make offers in comments!

I think I could get it done in only about 4:55 so I'll bid 5.05 euros for it I'll up to 5,10 euros. Since there's two of us bidding in this range, it's clearly not worth much. I can bid 5.13 euros on it, but only because I will be saving on shipping since I'm getting '0026 as well. You drive a hard...

Re: (EU-NL) 10 NeXT Keyboard's with feet-Make offers in comments!

5 euros for that ABP151430 I used to have one of these in 2012 and I sold it for about that since nobody wanted it. The one you have looks like it'll take about 5 hours to clean it up so it's usable so the offer price is adjusted to reflect that. I think I could get it done in only about 4:55 so I'...

Regarding ABP151430.

I'll raise my offer to 5.02 euro.

I think I want it slightly more but still only a little.

Re: PS/2 to USB adapter PCB

I looked into the side mount tactile switch that Findecanor recommended. Most pin headers plastic standoffs are 2.5mm tall, so you have that much space between the two. That's enough space for a side-mount tactile switch like this one: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Panasonic/EVP-AKE31A?qs=EU6...

Re: PS/2 to USB adapter PCB

Some great responses so far from everyone! Thanks so much for the feedback. I was thinking more in SMD leds with their smd resistors, through hole would be a little bulky and it's not that hard to solder a couple of SMD components. Can be both things at the same time really, simply putting the holes...

Re: PS/2 to USB adapter PCB

I would add on one or maybe both sides of the board pads for on-board lock leds, with the same spacing as the regular model M leds. That way, add a case and a legend sticker and you can get a more compact version of what I use for my F/M-122's. lock leds.png Mine is just a regular off-white project...

Re: PS/2 to USB adapter PCB

First of all, nice job! :) Sincerely a case would be my top request. Long time reliability depends from that, and if you want to use it at work you need plausible deniability. Then: - reset button - more onboard memory (additional keymaps etc) - add a keycombo that outputs the current date (impossi...

Re: PS/2 to USB adapter PCB

Cool, all it needs now is an enclosure. I'm assuming with this type of adapter you wouldn't have to turn off your PC in order to connect and use a PS/2 keyboard? I wouldn't say it "needs" an enclosure. Those are expensive. ($2-$4). If you go that route you don't really need the PCB anymore, just ge...

PS/2 to USB adapter PCB

Hi all, I realized one week that I had given out or sold all my USB to PS2 adapters. Since the "good" ones are expensive I looked at the DIY route and it's actually pretty cheap ($11). The PCB is basically a carrier for a PCB-mount PS/2 connector and an arduino pro micro. Below is a picture of the f...

Still getting some errors with the layout. I think I'm going to see if I can figure out how to compile your source code into a hex file and play with the key assignments myself. It's really odd how my two texscan MSI boards have minor differences between them. the "master" board uses the buzzer and the second output of the 75451 and does not have the optocoupler populated, whereas the "slave" board has the inputs of that 75451 channel bridged (doing nothing) and the buzzer ...

What I really like (or hate) about these hall effect boards is that they're all different. This one is an excellent example of one that looks like it was modified after the PCB was printed. I'm surprised though how many keyboards did use the 3-pin SD series switches. Originally I thought it was some cheap option that came along later, but it seems even the Space-cadet keyboard is 3-pin, based on the part numbers. That's assuming that we are understanding the part numbers correctly, as...
