Re: Recreating the Lisp keyboard (10 years later)

Thanks! This was my first larger web after more than 20 years. It took a while to make it, the technologies have somewhat changed during the past two decades, my art of making CGI scripts in Perl was useless. Haha, yeah, I remember as a teenager trying to decide whether to learn Perl or Pytho...

before I posted the sale thread, I searched ebay for some info, and got https://www.ebay.com/itm/323697318762? . Another seller located at UK is selling same version swtiches at $4 for each and have sold 14 according to the sale log. So I think if I sell mine at 60% of that price should be fair, bu...

Hi lispnick, I've been keeping an eye on your project (that sounded more ominous than it should) - heck, I made the first commend on this thread. I just wanted to applaud what you've done with the website. It's very professional and informative while clearly staying true to the geeky nature of the p...

Are you sure that'll work? If the keyboard simply sends a backspace scancode when the "left spacebar" is pressed, then you'll have a hard time remapping it in software. I will look identical to the "true backspace" from the perspective of the computer. I don't own one of these keyboards, though, so ...

It also depends: does your time have any value to you?
If not, then the most profitable way is probably to sell the switches one by one to people who need a replacement. But then you're also working for minimum wage and have parted out a perfectly nice, working keyboard.
Up to you :-)

Beating a dead horse until it's a bloody smear on the sidewalk is one way to do it, and an_achronism's crusade has long passed that. Well, that's one possible viewpoint. This is a difficult one. "Vintage" switches are perhaps superior in the clicky department, but it's not so clear cut when it comes to tactiles (in my humble opinion and all that). The tactiles I currently enjoy the most are: * Kailh Polia (MX style, rounded tactility) * Matias tactiles (Alps style, ...
