Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

I listened to Imagine Dragons all night yesterday - enjoying the cool surround sound of my new MartinLogan floor standing speakers. I found them here in this article. As if some kind of finger of fate.

Re: Headphones

I bought my brother some KZ ZSRs as a gift; then got a pair for myself. When those got coopted, I went for a set of ZSX. The worst I've had were some JVC over-the-ear ones-- the equalization was miles off and it sounded muffled. Plenty of soundstage, but nothing sounded right. I was sincerely disap...

Re: How did you find your internet nickname?

I decided not to invent anything like that and just took my last name. In my opinion, it turned out fine. Maybe if it was some kind of role-playing forum, I would need to come up with a character and play his role, it would be different.

Re: Vacation

I would like to go on vacation to the ocean. Unfortunately, because of COVID, one can only dream. Over the past year, it was not possible to set aside the required amount of money for holidays. Well, nothing, next year we will rest for 2 years.

I personally like headphones from Ryzen and A4Tech brands. At a very affordable price, the sound quality in the headphones is at a high level.

Re: Vintage Increases Value?

I think you're right on the money here. Nostalgia is on a timer. Even beige tower PCs with abysmal specs and dubious functionality are going for $100+ on ebay. I guess I should diversify and take advantage of how cheap a lot of stuff from the 50's and 60's in now and expand my search to include cra...

Re: How to disable Steam from updating games automatically?

You can simply disable the automatic launch of Steam when the operating system starts. Then start Steam when the system is fully loaded, after which you can already look at the game update settings.

Re: Worst Keyboard?

Just found a photo of this on eBay. This was the first computer I actually owned. I liked many aspects of it, but the keyboard was awful. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-Atari-400-Keyboard-Tastatur/143980610913?hash=item2185e9c561:g:WmoAAOSw55dgFqM1 The thing is, as flat membrane keyboards go, the...

Here https://homemakerguide.com/best-keyboar ... ogramming/ there is a cheaper and more expensive keyboard, and with different types of connectors. Maybe something will work? Somehow it so happened that I was reading this article and came across your question.

Listen, isn't it easier to just buy a keyboard and that's it? It is certainly not as interesting as assembling it with your own hands, but much faster and easier.

Re: For sale! Deskthority is looking for a new owner

Hi all. Deskthority was founded in Januari 2011, so it's been 10 years I've been pulling this baby. The last couple of years have been much easier, since Matt3o became the main administrator. Still, I'm finding myself no longer putting in the desired effort I'd expect from an owner, it's just the n...

Re: Keyboards in movies/TV series!

This is my favorite TV show when I was a teenager! I remember watching every episode. And now I only remember some of the characters, and I probably don’t remember the plot, because I’ve watched so many different films. You should definitely watch this show again! This has always been my favourite ...

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?

I decided to remember the first albums of Metallica. Those were the times and they knew how to make cool music. Nowadays there are very few such high-quality performers.
