Re: No idea worth. Kclea907l green alps

I could be wrong, but I suspect the problem is that you listed it already, *then* asked what it's worth. What does it matter? It'll sell for what it sells for; that's what it's worth. If you heard somebody say it was worth $500 and it sold at your auction for $5, what good would the information do y...

Re: Dear Model F owners, can we talk? (Long rant)

I'd say the difference between beamspring and F is actually more different in feel than F and M. The model F's and model M's both have the same basic keystroke. But beamspring is an entirely different mechanism. It might be more different , but I didn't feel like it was a more impressive difference...

Re: Dear Model F owners, can we talk? (Long rant)

I enjoyed this but I can't totally relate to the "shitting on Model M" thing, perhaps because I'm still relatively new to this community. I definitely have seen people saying that the F is significantly better than the M, though. I wish I could agree fully with the sentiment in this post but I unfor...

Frankly I regret not buying that one and using it for my NOS module. However, ideally, I'd prefer to put it inside a Bigfoot case, just because it's dumb as hell therefore I love it.

There was a point in my life when I used a Planck keyboard and Arch Linux, but now I can’t be arsed and just want something that works and is nice. So now I’m using a 5251 on a Mac. I could relate to this until I realised you were "settling" for a 5251 beam spring keyboard. I'm a mere mortal Model ...

Occurs to me that maybe the lack of a clear price is putting folk off, so just in case, let's for simplicity's sake call it £129 inc. UK postage (obv a bit more if going elsewhere) if you just want the board without any other keycaps, and clearly if you do want some fancy extra keycaps then we can f...

Re: Decision Data (Maxi Switch) terminal keyboards for sale.

This and this guy's other listing for an IBM "Bigfoot" were established as auctions, fishing for offers, transparently because the seller doesn't know what his stuff is worth. That's fine, whatever. Let the market figure it out if you don't know, I don't have a problem with that personally. At 14:06...

This was established as an auction. I messaged the seller with an initial offer to see where things went, for this and another board, at 14:06 yesterday, after initially sending him a message previously which took him ages to reply to, to which he had responded with a bizarre message in which he sai...

Two Decision Data terminal keyboards I already mentioned in PM but: https://i.postimg.cc/gjwMqL6L/Screenshot-20210609-132408.png They've got Maxi-Switch's sliders over rubber domes, which I don't think are immensely popular but I quite like them (see Apricot #2). Re: TAP - HOLD on the Soarer

I think I can probably get by with Soarer's code for a 122-key but on the F XT there is so little to work with that I basically need TMK/QMK. Not that I don't love the XT, I absolutely do, but it comes to life with dual function keys. You don't need 'em so much on a board that has 122 keys, though.....

US-UK proxy wanted for 2 low-cost keyboards

I don't know if anybody would be up for doing me a favour here but I'm trying to see if it might be more cost effective to proxy something rather than buying it through eBay's "Global Shipping Programme", which appears to charge its "import costs" arbitrarily by a system that I assume must involve s...

Probably not the only thing assembled incorrectly. It seems obvious the wire hooks are not inserted into the stab posts on the spacebar. My guess is this was a botched attempt to lighten the spacebar. There could be physical damage to the wire or stab posts on the spacebar which would be very diffi...
