Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

If you are sincerely looking for feedback, I'll just be brief and point out that presenting a solution as a silent "video" composed of 16 minutes of text walls is inadvisable and extremely unlikely to change anything or help anybody. If it were me, I'd record it as spoken instructions over a screen ...

I've actually been wondering about HaaTa's force curves for membrane and capacitive buckling springs Me too, I have no idea where those came from. I have more than one original IBM Model F and they definitely feel a lighter than either M I have, even the seriously messed up 1990 one. I wonder if Ha...

As a daily Unicomp board user I freely admit that they are not exactly the same, Unicomp has had ups and downs on the fit and finish of their boards, but the typing experience (ie what I care about) is basically the same with nice tactility and audible click etc. I would like to go on record as som...

Re: Tips to get a mint-as-possible original model F?

Nice one, and is the space bar on the F122 really good? I know it’s better than the other Fs, but is it superior to the M’s? And does it feel like the rest of the keyboard? I mean, define "superior" here. The XT bar is heavy but some like that; it makes it incredibly stable and there's no rattle. B...

So...you didn’t watch the video in the original post? I also originally thought that a “beige whale” was an 80s tech riff on Moby Dick, but the definition given in the video specifically contrasts it with a “white whale.” Space Cadet is a potential white whale; an F XT is a great example of a beige...

I could be wrong, but I suspect the problem is that you listed it already, *then* asked what it's worth. What does it matter? It'll sell for what it sells for; that's what it's worth. If you heard somebody say it was worth $500 and it sold at your auction for $5, what good would the information do y...

Re: Dear Model F owners, can we talk? (Long rant)

I'd say the difference between beamspring and F is actually more different in feel than F and M. The model F's and model M's both have the same basic keystroke. But beamspring is an entirely different mechanism. It might be more different , but I didn't feel like it was a more impressive difference...

Frankly I regret not buying that one and using it for my NOS module. However, ideally, I'd prefer to put it inside a Bigfoot case, just because it's dumb as hell therefore I love it.

UK postage (obv a bit more if going elsewhere) if you just want the board without any other keycaps, and clearly if you do want some fancy extra keycaps then we can f...

This and this guy's other listing for an IBM "Bigfoot" were established as auctions, fishing for offers, transparently because the seller doesn't know what his stuff is worth. That's fine, whatever. Let the market figure it out if you don't know, I don't have a problem with that personally. At 14:06...

This was established as an auction. I think I can probably get by with Soarer's code for a 122-key but on the F XT there is so little to work with that I basically need TMK/QMK. Not that I don't love the XT, I absolutely do, but it comes to life with dual function keys. You don't need 'em so much on a board that has 122 keys, though.....

Probably not the only thing assembled incorrectly. It seems obvious the wire hooks are not inserted into the stab posts on the spacebar.
