BTW. Only a few people from a region in the North even eat Surströmming. The rest of us keep away.

Reinheitsgebot FFS! No citrus hops, IPA, APA, "Imperial" stouts or hipster ales. No chocolate, wheat, fruit or sourness.
Plain German lager, Czech lager, Dunkel, Pilsner, Bitter, English ale and Irish stout: those are real beers, and with enough variety to go around.

Have I ranted yet about raspberry-licorice? In no time at all, it has replaced many types of licorice on the Swedish candy market. Way to go to ruin the nice taste of raspberry and the taste of licorice, to make something bland and weird. I used to visit certain convenience stores just because they ...

The Key Tronic's plate holes are a tiny bit bigger than Cherry MX, so that PCB is going to be needed.
I keep a Key Tronic plate as template for cutting foam dampener to put in-between PCB and plate. :)

You mean the surface should be teflon? Maybe your existing wrist rest just has too much friction. I don't have any problem sliding my wrist around on the desk mat I'm using. Your post reminded me of these: The Zergotech Freedom has wrists rests that slide around on teflon feet in trays. The keyboard...

Re: Why are alps keyboards not as popular?

Why did cherry emerge as the dominant force in mechanical keyboards, and not alps, or topre? Those few brands that (also) made office keyboards with them (and not just specialised products such as cash registers) happened to become popular - and that started the whole trend. We got Steelseries 6G a...

I might need a sharp knife for piercing the skin of tomatoes, and a sharp serrated knife for cutting bread.
But most of the time, I actually prefer a somewhat non-sharp knife so that I wouldn't have to worry too much about cutting my own skin while cooking.

Assuming that they indeed add a numpad equals key to the numpad on the pseudoergonomic keyboard... what is it going to send? The USB HID codes DO include a numpad equals scan code, but the keyboard layout tables in Windows do NOT support it. I sniffed my MS 4000. It sends the numpad =, numpad ( and...

Re: How to take advantage of the extra pins on a Proton C?

Maybe the extra pins are not supported that way?

I would start with the code in "qmk_firmware/keyboards/proton_c".
In "config.h", define MATRIX_ROWS and MATRIX_COLS to the dimensions of the key matrix.
Define MATRIX_ROW_PINS and MATRIX_COL_PINS as arrays of the pins to use.

Converting to use BKE domes would be easier said than done, because those are full domes to fit within a very specific switch, not rubber sleeves. Yes, the switches in Webwit's images are Key Tronic Foam and Foil . The rubber sleeve that goes around the slider is what provides the resistance and tac...

Try to get 60/40 leaded solder if you can, it much easier for inexperienced users as it flows much better and at a lower temp. Re: Could use some help with reverse engineering a typewriter PCB, for use with a Pro Micro and QMK.

I would love to use them as an Fn key, but the problem is that they are all wired to the same location, so I (essentially) have 5 keys that would behave the same way on the second action, right? I think you could theoretically get around that with clever firmware. The keys provide the same input on...

I wouldn't cut any traces. Are you sure there is nothing you'd want to use a secondary action for? You could view the Repeat key as a Fn key, and put whatever you want on that layer, only that the first action will always be activated first when you press a double-action key, and deactivated when yo...
