That is quite interesting, I've never seen an electro-mechanical rotary encoder like that before, just hall-effect, optical, and the ones used in multi-meters as a rotary switch.

That's one of the keyboards for the Model C terminal family. As far as I know there's no converter for it, it needs a new controller. It's like the XT Model F in that the controller's on the same PCB as the switch matrix.

All Model M keyboards have dyesub caps, but legends and two piece caps vary by production run, intended purpose, and year. As far as I know there are no fixed-cable SSKs.

Shift+ScrLk accesses the NumLock functionality, though I've never quite figured out how the navigation part is accessed.

I think the SKCMAF is the cream switch I have on the Alps typewriter keyboard with the double action switches. As it is tactile, the colour's about right, and (mostly) without sound. (Which also reminds me that I still need to take better pictures of it for the wiki.)
