[WTB - US] Solbourne Keyboard (unmodified)

I'm looking for a Solbourne keyboard with the 9 pin mini DIN connector on it. I'm looking to use it on an actual Solbourne S4000 so I need one that isn't modified at all, just a regular stock keyboard.

Thanks!

Re: Future of DT

The hand-cranked spammers are just the same as ever… I dunno. DT could use some real love. Needs to be someone's prime focus. You know what I'm like, dropping quiet for internet aeons at a time. I can hardly blame anyone else for taking their eye off the ball, either. I just went through and handle...

Re: Spammers and moderation

I really don't think anyone but me is checking in, but I rarely have time anymore working full time with a commute. I just checked the moderator logs and basically it's me deleting stuff mid July -> some users managing their own posts -> me deleting everything again just now. I have no idea where an...

Re: Rare mechanical keyboard with trackpoint and mechanical kays

In the future, we have a separate forum for ebay finds to keep the forum clear of 10,000 different threads with just links. One such example is the great/interesting finds thread located here: https://deskthority.net/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=5700&start=24360 If you're the seller, we also have a vendor s...

Re: Deskthority Secret Santa 2019

2020 Go Santa ! With the way shipping is this year, I'm not super enthusiastic in regards to international shipping. I might aim for a "Early 2021 Secret Santa" if situations improve, but as-is, a lot of the shipping services are very screwed up. It's so bad I had one package get delivered after 6 ...

[WTB] Keyboard with (or Bare Switches): Micro Switch SD Series 4B3A / Electrically Compatible

I've got a friend working on restoring a fairly important vintage computer but he's run into keyboard issues. Notably, almost the entire keyboard's switches have failed from mistreatment over the years. The switches are the Micro Switch 4B3A from the factory. Any electrically compatible switches suc...

Alright guys there's still time to sign up! We've got another 2 weeks before the deadline!

Don't feel threatened by gifts given in the past! There's no minimum budget, some years you get a full keyboard other years you get random odds and ends you end up using more (tbh) .

Re: Please do not reply to spam

For a while we had it set to require post approvals from new accounts and that helped keep stuff off the forum but didn't help us on the back end. Ultimately the "captcha" question was changed iirc and that cut down a lot. Some fun spam detection tips I use: 1.) Is there something logical filled out...

Joining this year. Judging from the previous years almost everyone are from the western side of the world, so I'll probably be sending some keeb from the land of the east (specifically one with a sun that is rising) ;) Most of our userbase here tends to bias towards US/Europe which really sucks for...

It's that time of year again! Rather than dropping the ball and giving like 3 days for everything, I'll get it going on time this year. It's a modification for sure. There's been some talk on Mac forums about it and general consensus is it's an SLA printed case on the keyboard. They've also had a clear mouse and a clear joystick and you might notice none of them mention prototype or any real information. I bet they're betting on som...

Naw, it's just regular old forum spam. You can dig through the IPs used to find a lot are hits for recent spam waves on forums, rather than being targeted at just us. The good news is you can notice some trends in IPs to help cut back. A lot of spam was coming from the 5.188.x.x range which is large...

Re: Unpopular opinions thread

Plate spring... I take it you can't touch type at any reasonable speed since plate springs just turn to a mush at any kind of respectable speed. I don't know why anyone would willingly use those mushy switches. Even worse, if you store the keyboard wrong and something runs across the top, the switc...
