I'll look into that Fentek offer! Thanks.sordna wrote:150 vs 350 euros? That huge difference doesn't make sense, I would look for another dealer. In North America, fentek-ind.com for example sells the Kinesis for $269 (shipping is free). The TE is $199 + expensive shipping, so the cost difference is minimal.

What do you find so desireable about the TE compared to say a Kinesis Advantage (also non-staggered, ergonomic, progrommable, MX switches) which exists and is readily available ? Good question! First there is the price! Not looking at the shipping: The TE is 150 euro and the Advantage, from a deale...

Ik was trying to explain ('try') why people pre-order the TE, although TE has nothing to show us yet... There are a lot of people, including me, who want to have it become a reality.daedalus wrote:Try what? It doesn't exist. It's a non-keyboard! Hi, I sent an e-mail and got a reply from Rick. He's willing to change the firmware, that would do the trick, but then I would have to pay the shipping costs to and from the USA. That would be a bit pricy. I got the Freestyle for 32 euro (including shipping and the Incline set-up) from a guy here in...

Remapping left spacebar (to backspace) on a split keyboard
I have a Kinesis Freestyle. I remapped capslock to spacebar, but it would be better to remap the left spacebar te capslock, and use the right spacebar for space. But these two keys have the same code: 57. is there any way to remap it, using autohotkey for instance? I have to get a difference between...

Well, I presented a load of arguments why this guy is not ok. You have zero arguments. You just say you trust him, and that I am someone who mistrusts everyone. So, to prevent people from thinking you are an idiot, could you provide us with two lists? 1. A list of arguments why the way this guy doe...

Dear appie, yes I mistrust him, he lied repeatedly and by design. Hello? Hello?? Are you some kind of idiot that you are actually picking the side of the scam artist? Really, I don't understand people. It probably explains the shitty companies and shitty politicians we have, thanks to the appies in...

I really don't know why people are so eager to give this guy money. He has been lying for over a year about the progress. First of all, he is a he, not a they. Why do people keep revering to TrulyErgonomic as "they"? All the reviews, names, addresses he made up. Hello? He fabricated these. He made ...

Nah, if an alien would land or Charles Manson would be released, the Datahand would appear the logical device and your habitual standard keyboard a freaky device. You are lost, Sir. I advise a Microsoft Natural keyboard. Your neighbors might approve of it. It is hardly ergonomic, but exactly aimed ...

@Webwit: the Datahand is what I would call a "freaky" keyboard, if you can call it a board, so not really an alternative for the masses. So for me the TE design has certain good ergonomic features and good switches, without looking like something from Star Wars. But the datahand is probably a great ...

It's also a fail of an ergonomic keyboard despite its wild claims, since it is not split or adjustable, one size fits all. What is an ergonomic shoe of one size? A fail if it isn't your size. So this is mostly an exercise in marketing, looking to sell keyboards to people who like the sound of ergon...

Kinesis Advantage at a decent price
Hi, I found the Advantage on Ebay for around $250. But this is in the USA. including customs and VAT the deal is probably not so good.
In europe prices seem to start at €350. Anyone know of a good deal in europe somewhere?
Thanks.
