Re: 7bit, where are you?!

It's not the first time 7bit goes off the grid. There might still be reason for concern, but this kind of behavior is hardly unprecedented. Anyone who has ordered from r5/6 and paid via bank transfer should have what I assume is 7bit's real name. It shouldn't be that hard to track him down if one re...

Re: Do any modern Laptops have even halfway decent keyboards?

Most laptops these day sacrifice keyboard quality for thinness. But Thinkpads still do a decent job in my opinion – I actually like Lenovo's new 'smiley' key design, it's by far the nicest chiclet style keyboard out there. But except for the luggable gaming 'laptops' with MX switches, there really i...

Yes, it was. But unfortunately when MassDrop's engineers couldn't come up with a way to support other 60% boards (due to the USB routing issues the case imposed), those plans sort of went out the window. So for the first round this is only a complete package offering. Down the road, if there is eno...

Oh. I haven't paid that close attention to this thread, but wasn't the initial plan for this to be a 60 % keyset with support for various layouts (ANSI, ISO, international kits, etc.)? Plans can change of course, and the idea of offering a complete kit is understandable.

Neat! The case doesn't really do it for me, the oversized logo and visible bottom-row switches kind of kills it – but to each their own, and I'm sure the drop will do well. The keycaps, however, look gorgeous. What happened to making the keycaps themselves avaliable separately, perhaps with more opt...

Okay, all these GPG shenanigans aside it would be nice to get an update on the incomplete orders. Lots of people seem to be missing parts of their orders, and this issue is yet to be properly adressed as far as I know. At the moment, this is what I'm missing: Order-ID |Description | Price|Qt|Pcs| To...

Can someone explain to me how exactly i get help for a damaged key i received? Do i message 7bot and what do i say? My understanding is that the procedure is the same as if a key is missing, i.e. following the instructions in the invoice. At least that's what the example provided hints at – an upsi...

Hm. Did the thing when the first post about the PGP encryption popped up. Just went with my real name and the default keysize, since there were no instructions to do otherwise at that point. Sent a PM, but all I got for my troubles was an empty invoice from the bot. Then once I saw that second post ...

In other news, all is quiet at the Western front. The bot is running, so 7bit is obviously back. But no shipments as far as we can tell. I'm at a point where things are not that dire, since I've already gotten most of my order – all I'm waiting for is a bunch of black keycaps to cover a hypothetical...

Re: Round 5 in stock / Round 6 in production / phase 2 kits for sale!!!

Updates have been somewhat unreliable as of late. Maybe 7bit is still away. But I did eventually get a new invoice from the bot on the 17th as response to the 'wazzup' I sent on the 5th, so at least something's going on. Now the bot is seemingly back to giving the silent treatment, though. And still...

So that's where my white TAB key went! ;)

I don't thinkt there's a protocol in place for that scenario. I guess send a list of the extra keys to 7bit, and let him figure it out?

7bot isn't autonomous & requires 7bit to turn the crank & he's currently away, hence why the WASSUP messages aren't being responded to. Well, I did send a message just shortly after 7bit's last update, on the 5th. But I guess posting that update might have been the very last thing he did before lea...

I'm still waiting for about half of my order as well. I even paid the extra 5€ that had mysteriously appeared on a new invoice, so my order shouldn't be one of those unpaid ones. But the bot refuses to answer my 'wazzup' messages, so I'm kind of in the dark here. Anyone else had any luck with the bo...

On a more serious tone, why are these key-caps so popular? Am I missing the obvious? They are classy, with perfect color combos, and perfect legends. Seems obvious to me why they're popular. The colorway is one part of it, but i think there are quite a few factors that contributed even more: 1. The...

The \| symbols are styled like an elven rune (you can't quite see it from the renders), that being said they are wrong because they don't follow Dan Smith's standard so I had to replace them anyway. Is Elvish Ortho feasible to hope for in this drop? Any chance you could change the |\ key to a Elvish rune-Symbol? To me it kinda breaks the design.. Not only that, but also somewhat defeats the purpose of having an 'otaku' style kit. In my opinion, if one want's a set for touch-typing and good loo...
