Thanks for the tip. I got a tiny neodymium magnet I just have to point in the general direction of the reed switch ;) Only needed to do it once so far, the firmware has a hotkey to start the bootloader. Replaced the dim blue LED's w/ seriously green ones that are way brighter for more dynamic range ...

Bummer. I just swapped out the browns w/ a white/green mix in one of my QFR's (see here), it's not very hard if you have some soldering experience and the equipment. White and Green switches have the same weight (same springs), the difference is in the click (whites - soft, greens - like blues.)

Korrekt. Der Kontroller übersetzt die Matrix-Position in eine sog. "USB Usage" (oder "Scancode" für PS/2). Der PC übersetzt das dann in ein Zeichen.

You could replace the QFR controller w/ a Frosty Flake -- no need for dip-switches, just change the firmware ! (available here)
