I own this keyboard and is the most silent Cherry MX one I've used, has very silent space bar and enter keys. Combined with vintage black stems this board is incredibly silent and soft.

I only use JIS right now due to its posibilities in combination with some programmability software/gadget. This made me stop trying any new keyboards. I find this Leopold keyboard quite interesting. Anyway, from what I've read elsewhere, these two extra buttons act as mouse buttons, I don't think th...

That's the point. I never understood that neither.

Anyway, does it really matter about Unity? I've always been able to apt-get install whatever wm/DE I wanted.

I tried to open it and it was clear from the start that it was not going to be easy, so I didn't. After a couple of weeks use it feels very natural to me. I already don't hit the boundaries with the bar and pointer precission is quite good for day to day use. Using these settings right now: xinput s...

I've been using the Red model during all the week. Just as I could not go back to a regular mouse after using a good trackball like L-Trac or Slimblade (being the former by far more precise), I can not think of going back to a trackball after using this pointer. The Rollermouse is a very robust devi...

True davkol, I won a button. Later took a look to the manual and saw some extra settings that can be customized. That software to customize button actions seems a windows one. I'll try it at home with a windows computer. The settings that can be managed with the device itself do persist after unplug...

Got the Re:d, just for one reason, has the shortest width amongst them all. Used with a HHKB the Rollermouse has an acceptable width. I don't know at all if one of the other two models would have been better suited for me but this one is ok. I use Linux with several fullhd monitors and a tiling wm, ...

I am seriously considering to get a Rollermouse. My motivation is purely functional, not health related. I am into 12 hours a day keyboard use with 60% keyboard to never ever lose track of J/K keys. The only thing that makes me lose F/J position is using the trackball. Do you think that the benefits...

I am a big fan of quiet tactility, thus my experiences have been in this order: Cherry MX clear: more tactile than browns but has a fake feeling. Upstroke can't be silenced. Matias Quiet Click: big upgrade step, more quiet with a real tactile feeling. Upstroke and downstroke dampened. Topre: big upg...

Great review, again.

Owning the quiet mini I've always wondered how approximate the idea of "cut the sound of a matias tactile switch and you get a matias quiet switch" is. I really really like the quiet one which delivers a pleasant tactile feedback but without the sound.

"Eres un hijo de puta come mierda".

A very polite and stylized way to call somebody "you are a shit eater son of a bitch". In Spanish it sounds quite rounded and compact, very aggressive and vulgar expression.

Well it depends on the country of origin. When I hear some bad words used on South America I can't avoid to laugh because I find them ridiculous. Not a bad thing, I guess some bad words said in Spain will surely sound the same for them.

If the guy is from Spain I could easily write some of them.

The g80-11800 seems the good one for me for a Cherry keyboard. I can hardly find any reference to the JIS model though. I guess that won't be something used on western countries but only on Asian ones.

Altough I would not use the cursors column, a TKL would still be fine.

Availability of JIS 60% keyboards

Hey guys, I've been using the JIS layout exclusively for so long that I don't remember when I started with it. Mines did also on 55g. Moved to 45g which are quite soft (you may untentionally be pressing a key if you rest your fingers on the keyboard which hardly will happen on a 55g).

Topre is said to need its time to get used to it.

In my case it was just the opposite, within the few first keystrokes I felt amazed, but I don't think that is the norm (damn you Topre).

I'm using an HHKB with Hasu's usb-usb converter and I can't think of anything better. Yes, if you push and instantly release (like you would normally do to send a single keystroke) it behaves as a Space key. If you otherwise push and hold it for a threshold (in ms, don't remember its default value, but quite low) then it becomes a modifier and don't send Space key code on release. Fo...
