Re: Let's create the FSSK !
I've honestly got no idea on who to use for producing anything, whether stickers or aluminum badges. From a quick web search finding people to do custom size white labels is pretty easy, however not finding much on clear custom size labels. Problem with white would be it'd look odd against the othe...

Poker 2 Help
Hey guys, I'm hoping that you can help me with this Poker 2 that I received, it's missing R83. Can anyone with a Poker 2 and a multimeter tell me the value of this resistor? Also, there's a capacitor right by the missing USB port in the image that looks pretty janky, if anyone can tell me that value...

Re: Let's create the FSSK !
Please forgive my ignorance, I see $169 and 21$ in the post above, may I ask which is the final per pcb cost? If it is $21 then I will be sure to add my name to the spreadsheet as soon as I can get a proper computer and not my phone.
Thank you,

I know that this is a long shot but is there an extra pcb and plate available? I'd love to get in on this since I had never touched an alps switch until just the other day.

Re: Space Invaders handwired numpad
You pretty much need to ignore a pair of leads on each switch. If you put the diodes (which essentially prevent the flow of current in one direction) on one pair and the matrix on the other, the current will essentially bypass the diodes and flow across multiple switches during use. Think of it as t...

Commodore Vic-20 keycaps
Hello,
I recently purchased a Commodore Vic-20 but am missing the "3" key, spring, and the plunger is broken.
Does anyone know where I could source a replacement for these parts? Are Commodore 64 keys compatible?
Thanks!

Also look in the projects section for more info on the tool. I'm on my phone so I can't easily go into great detail.

Re: An idea for a thin plywood case
Looks cool, but from an impact resistance viewpoint I would use a thicker material than 1 mm for the bottom. Personally given those materials listed, I would take the 2 mm hit and use the 3 mm acrylic.

Ok yes removal would be the way to go. I interpreted what I read as implying a short, but I agree that part of the circuit should be left open to use D6.

Since the resistor is there to limit the voltage supplied to the LED, wouldn't you run the risk of blowing it if the resistor is bypassed only?matt3o wrote:blobbing the resistor is fine by me
Perhaps removing and blobbing both would be best?

Shouldn't removal of the LED on D6 allow its use and a regular i/o pin? The LED is itself a diode.

Hello, I am very interested in building my own custom ten-key keyboard, but as of right now am shorter on funds that I would like for sourcing Red MX Cherry switches. Budget mx brown keyboard
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a good ten-key keyboard with mx brown switches? My budget isn't large, perhaps around $100 but backlighting would be great and worth extra.
Thanks for your help!
